Almost a Seafoam in that light. Beauty. The wet sand is the secret to any finish.

The green is very nice imo.
The guitar is ready!
Everything good with the new frets, pickups, electronics!
The neck came with roughly torn out frets... It was not easy for my guitar tech man to restore the neck.
Very thin rosewood. He did a fantastic job!
Two pics from nearly ready:

Ah, this is the color I used:

Clear coat also from Belton.
So it is a Jazzmaster dandelion now.

Looks like a baragain! Good job on bidding this one! So you have already reapired it? (the last pics are after restaration?) Good job mansupersonicjazzmaster wrote: ↑Mon Aug 14, 2017 9:18 amHi,
I am happy!!! I bought a Jazzmaster from 1963 in pieces. It was an ebay auction in Germany. I live also in Germany.
I hope the link below works!?
Those parts have been in a basement for about 35 years now. Someone wanted to "customize" the Jazzy?
So, frets are needed for the neck, the headstock is minimalized. The body is handpainted with a kind of dakota red.
All pieces are with the guitar. So I paid 1023€ for it. Good price. I guess I have to spend about 600€ into the restauration, so I have a ´63 Jazzy for a good price! I am waiting for the neck w. new frets these days.
The body: What do you think was it before? A sunburst one?
The pickguard is a bit shrunken, looks gorgeous!
What do you think about the electronics??? Should I use the original one complete? Or better complete new cables / potis?
Body: Refinish? What color? I am no sunburst fan. Nitro finish? I think about some kind of yellow/white w. matching head.
People out there? Is there anyone with experiences with such a parts Jazzy?
Thanks, cheers!!

Don't know how I missed this... great project, your patience, learning and efforts paid off beautifully!
Btw, was this you? If it was, will the guitar have to meet this ultimate challenge?

...oh, yes, that´s me in the video... Ah, I forgot about this video already..
Maybe I do a guitar Schnitzel challenge or something other funny.
...I think about doing strange ASMR guitar videos soon. (I have got some daft ideas...)
