I dunno, VMs are $300-$400 and go on sale regularly for $250-$340. Obviously we will have to see if these are priced like VMs or more like JMJMs, but it's possible.

Maybe we should start an official "Fender: Offsetguitars Forum Division" thread & pin it? I want to make it as easy as we can for them to give us what we want!s_mcsleazy wrote: ↑Mon Jan 28, 2019 8:58 amincase someone from fender is reading this. i think we should start mentioning colours we want to see this stuff in. seriously, im starting to think their watching us.

The original price tag for my blue Super-Sonic says $1099 (Canadian dollars). I paid $299 when they were blowing them out on Dec 26, 1998. These were of course Japanese.
The Mexican Pawn Shop ones, 2012 - 2014 were Mexican, and retailed for $799 USD (I bought two of mine for $349 USD, each, on blowout).
If they do make new ones, they won't likely be made in Japan or Mexico. So possibly cheaper than the Pawn Shop ones. Chinese or Indonesian?
Another thought for the third version to be released - left-hand Telecaster bridges. Make them into Esquires (but keep the pickups reverse-canted).
And sparkly. Chartreuse?

Don’t get me wrong I would love access to an MSRP $300 faithful to the original Super Sonic but I’d be surprised if it isn’t a cheaper in every way version but in sparkle finishes that is marketed as a premium thing that comes in around $600 or so.mbene085 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 28, 2019 1:38 pmI dunno, VMs are $300-$400 and go on sale regularly for $250-$340. Wow!
Seems like a good time to be a squier fan.
I'm trying to reserve my judgments of the new cv mine, though I'm cautiously optimistic.
I really wish they would have kept the alder bodies from the cv line.

Re: Squier 2020 line
If Squier can do a red sparkle Tele bullet for $150 then $400 for a Super Sonic w/ CV grade hardware seems like a realistic price.Mechanical Birds wrote: ↑Mon Jan 28, 2019 10:20 pmDon’t get me wrong I would love access to an MSRP $300 faithful to the original Super Sonic but I’d be surprised if it isn’t a cheaper in every way version but in sparkle finishes that is marketed as a premium thing that comes in around $600 or so.

Re: Squier 2020 line
Their new price on everything is $399. He said the super sonic, even with sparkle finish will be at the same price point. So we will see.Mechanical Birds wrote: ↑Mon Jan 28, 2019 10:20 pmDon’t get me wrong I would love access to an MSRP $300 faithful to the original Super Sonic but I’d be surprised if it isn’t a cheaper in every way version but in sparkle finishes that is marketed as a premium thing that comes in around $600 or so.

This would be cool. I would actually love to see the Toronado get the LP Jr treatment with a single P90. Or two P90s. It just seems like that body style is begging for P90 version.wadeaminute wrote: ↑Mon Jan 28, 2019 11:58 amI think what I would really like is an LP Junior version of a Super-Sonic. Single dog-eared P90, wraparound bridge, in a green sparkle finish.

There was a P90 version of the Toronado.
