Theres a few good looking solid states nearby, a Princeton 112 Plus and a Frontman 212r.

Re: Fender amp suggestions
my friend has a frontman 212r and i have it's little sister, the fender deluxe 90. i'll say one thing. if you want a clean pedal platform that can survive a lot. you cant go wrong with a 212r

Re: Fender amp suggestions
So annoying, theres a bassman 50 head for £490 in Hampshire.
This is less of a fender amp suggestions thread than a lamenting the gear I can't buy thread.

The FM100H is the same circuitboard as the 212r just in a head. My personal feeling is the gain channel isn't great but the clean channel is awesome into a 4x12 marshall.s_mcsleazy wrote: ↑Thu May 23, 2019 2:59 pmmy friend has a frontman 212r and i have it's little sister, the fender deluxe 90. i'll say one thing. if you want a clean pedal platform that can survive a lot. you cant go wrong with a 212r

Re: Fender amp suggestions
After following this Thread for a while maybe you should make the trip & check out that Concert Amp... It sounds more lime what you're looking for than most everything in this Thread....SadFuzz wrote: ↑Sun Apr 07, 2019 5:35 amI'm in the line for a new amp. I've been using a Fender champion 40 for 2 years and its not really working, doesn't sound good with my DS1, and it can get muddy and harsh.
So I'm looking for a new amp and I'm drawn to fenders.
I will be gigging it with a drummer and bassist, playing loud, ideally want it between 30-60 watts or so but I don't mind, with a 2x12, 2x10 or 4x10 config, heads are also fine.
I'm keeping my budget at £600.
Any other suggestions are also welcome.
Sidenote, saw a 4x10 80's Fender Concert which looks good, used, for £550 but its quite far away from me. Thoughts?

Re: Fender amp suggestions
same circuit as my deluxe 90 but looks cooler. i've seen them under £100 all day and their always a great buy at that price.

Re: Fender amp suggestions
+100 on the Bassbreakers. I'm using thr 45 watt head as a bass amp in a loud punk band. The smaller versions, if price allows would probably fit the bill. I lnow they all soind different but the few I tried always had great tones on tap....

Fender Super-Sonic 2x12 60w or 100w The 22w may also be suitable or a head, but they are all universally good amps.

What about 80's Pro Reverb? Even in Finland those aren't really over 600€.

Re: Fender amp suggestions
For newer Fender I like the Excelsior and the Pro Junior, though Pro Juniors are not very “Fendery” sounding and can also be noisy.

Re: Fender amp suggestions
+ for the Supersonic 60 (head) - my main amp since 2008. I honestly don't use the "Burn" channel too much - but the 59 Bassman and the Vibrolux are two excellent sounding options! But you can even get the "Burn" channel to sound close to the Bassman with some additional knobs to tweak.BlueSparkle wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2019 3:05 amFender Super-Sonic 2x12 60w or 100w The 22w may also be suitable or a head, but they are all universally good amps.

Only "bad" thing... it's loud as hell! I recently changed the V1 from an 12AX7 to an 12AY7 - so now I sometimes even can turn it up to 2 in the rehearsals! - no, seriously! It gets along with all my pedals and has this built in - switchable fx loop that can also be patched and used as a Booster!
Great amp! I think the 100W version has a Showman/Twin option alongside to the Tweed Bassman and generally more knobs (additional Gain and Mids in the Clean Channel and "Notch Tune" in the Burn - and both the 100 and the 22 come with REVERB what mine did not!)
