Slide SG side project is done-ish. Close enough.

Thumbs-up to both. I like your choice of color for the headstock logo.

I added the decal and painted the fretboard "inlays" and "binding" to the slide SG. Liking it so far.
And by painted, I meant with a paint brush...

I finally finish building a guitar, go to play it, and then remember, "oh yeah, that's right. I suck at playing... Why did I build another guitar again?"

You need to find one of these. They are getting more rare but it's a regular Tele not a toy. It's the equivalent of putting a capo on the 3rd fret of a standard Tele.

Very cool, I’ve been thinking of doing some customization on a Squier mini for my 4 year old son. I think I have some time, he’s not interested in the ukulele he has yet.

Thinking of making an aluminum pickguard out of a sheet of aluminum I have for the slide SG. Mainly to cover the pickup routes so I can put different pickups in it, possibly a single P90 in the bridge. What do you think?
Photoshopped pickguard:
EDIT: Not sure why every other picture in this thread is broken... I'll try to fix that eventually.

In the last two days I took the mini guitar from hanging to let the lacquer cure to polished and then nearly done... Just need to finish cutting the nut, install a string tree, then set it up... Super stoked about it... Sorry for the shite pictures.. My phone sucks. I;ll take nice pics once it's done. Which should be fairly soon. But here's where it is now:
The decal on the back is a custom waterslide decal printed with a design I made earlier this year of the West Virginia flag reimagines with the Flatwoods Monster and Mothman instead of coal miners. I also replaced the stock bridge that came with the kit with a cut down tele bridge and the pickup is a Peavey Super Ferrite from a T30. I;ve had it for years, and never had a reason to use it until now. Should sound cool.

Decal is rad, the guitar is rad... everything about that little guitar is amazing. I'm a short dude (though not THAT short) and I'd rock the hell out of that!

Not sure why all of my old pictures are now dead... But The Slide SG is finished... Kind of. Close enough. The switch is just a dummy to fill a hole.

My old photos are hot links from Facebook, as are the new ones... Why the old ones won;t work, but the news will is beyond me. Sorry for not displaying the old pics.
