I've got two, both very different.

1. Fender Tre-Verb, which does vintage Fender 'verb and 'trem, even better than the Flint, IMO.

2. This monster of wiggly T@NZ!

Strymon Flint since years. The only pedal which can sound like the harmonic trem in my 61 Fender Amps (or even "better").
The Flint makes the sound even a bit warmer and thicker for my ears.
It starts... when it begins.

Surfy Bear - Surfy Trem. Quite close to the 60s Fender sound.
Had the Big Box EHX Pulsar and the newer version before but couldn‘t make them work for me and now I‘m slowly including it more and more into my sound.

Boss PN-2 is my favourite sounding trem and I like getting weird with it in stereo. Off my main board, but still shows up on my travel board.

Walrus Monument was on my board for a couple years, and is easily the most versatile trem I’ve used. Harmonic trem, repeat percussion, good chop, Fender esque, sub divisions, on-board tap... it’s everything but stereo. Taken off my board for...

The Strymon Flint. It doesn’t chop to save its life, but what it does it does really well. It’s more amp like than the other two I own, and with the on-board reverb (which is also great) I’m saving a slot on my board.

Cooltron Vibravox, by Vox.

Modelled after the original Tremolo/Vibrato circuit found in AC30s.
Valve-driven. Warm & organic with a couple of very usable modern improvements thrown in.

Unavailable new but they frequently come up on Reverb & eBay in & around your price bracket.
You think you can't, you wish you could, I know you can, I wish you would. Slip inside this house as you pass by.

I have a small box Swamp Thang...it does the Brownface Trem really nicely 8)
What?!? No Seek-Trem!

Someone mentioned a Delta(?) that did 50 patterns. The Seek Trem can do that as well, but they’re not presets.

I guess there’s a Double Seek Trem out now as well.

I am more than happy with the Trem on my Voodoo Vibe, but most of these are way above the $100 range the OP asked about.

I got one of those from your recommendation. It’s great, mine just started making a weird noise for some reason, and I pulled it and haven’t hooked it back up yet.

I need to set it up again, it’s really cool at both trem and vibrato, or 2 different settings of one. Glad I got it and would recommend it as well

And a nice, shiny chrome finish.

Big fan of the Wrightsounds Trammello. I lived in Detroit for a few years, so always a fan of a Tigers/Topps theme [that I was able to help him with]. :)

It also sounds really good.

Heheh...I've had four of them in the past...I will probably pick up another down the line...I am a sucker for the Cat/Mouse graphic. :-*

I wanted something more amp-like lately, so I picked up the Swamp Thang :)

Demeter Tremulator

Can boost if controls are set to zero, guess it has some Ry Cooder connection and Jonny Greenwood used this for a little while. Has a trim to adjust the trem wave form.

Good basic trem

Walrus Audio Monument V2. The harmonic tremolo option sounds really good, it has tap tempo and it is the size of a regular pedal enclosure. Covers all of my tremolo needs very nicely.

Have I got the article for you. 28 tremolo pedals in one place.

https://www.guitarpedalx.com/news/gpx-b ... -selection

Since it looks like this would be your first tremolo pedal my advice is keep it simple and stick to a budget--say roughly equal to a Boss tremolo pedal. I bought an expensive one that does a number of cool things, and it doesn't get used a lot. I tend to only break it out when playing covers of certain songs, so usage is sporadic.

P.S. Is there any particular reason you posted this in the Amps section and not the Effects section? All I can think is that trem is probably the second most common built-in effect on amps after reverb.

I love the PN-2. A friend years ago had one, this was even after they'd discontinued them, and he was absolutely gleeful to own one. I still haven't owned one myself, though I've played through one enough times. I did have the behringer copy, which wasn't bad, but not great either. Just not as much character as the boss pedal. Also the knobs were cheap so all the change in the sound was packed into like 1/4 of the travel. Way to use the wrong kind of pots, there, Behringer.

Now I just use the trem effects in my CDR. I still want the PN-2, even though I have the same functionality with the Zoom pedal. It's not a PN-2, though.

The TR-2, though... I've never understood how people can be satisfied with them, they just sound lifeless to me.
This is an excellent rectangle
