I thought the Mustang bridge in the CV Jaguar/Jazz solved the problem of the sinking bridge but that was wrong then. Ok I might have to buy an alternative bridge then.
You don't really need to buy another bridge, you can just put loctite in the threads of the screws and that should stop them moving around. Any other problems such as buzzing can usually be solved by shimming the neck.
On another note, I've noticed the tortoiseshell on the Mustang bass I just got looks a LOT worse than on the jazzmaster, which is a bit odd. The Jazzmaster looks quite nice but Mustang bass has this horrible printed looking stuff.

But if you put loctite on the threads that means you cannot adjust the height of the bridge any more...?

If you use the blue loctite, you can get them to move again with a bit of pressure. If you use the red loctite, you're screwed.

That's Loctite threadlocker, not glue. It comes in several formulas with different strengths and properties.
As BoringPostcards mentioned you want the blue one for bridge screws. Of course any other brand works just as well.

Heat also breaks Loctite down so they can be adjusted again.
Cigarette lighter/soldering iron for blue, small gas torch for red (which shouldn't be used on guitars anyway, only automotive/engineering).

i just saw that a few minutes ago. is it really cheaper to buy from andertons and ship to the US than it is to buy in the UK? just went through the cart for it and it came out pretty cheap. tax/customs on top i'm guessing.
i HAVE to buy one. i emailed squier when the VMs came out years back and politely asked for shell pink.

I tried to do that a couple of months ago and they said no (after my order was placed and everything). It was a Gibson though and they said their agreement with Gibson prevents them from doing this. Maybe Fender will be different although that is hard to imagine.
Any word on the rest of the guitars in this thread? The fiesta red Tele with Jazz pickups?

the release date on guitar center back when they leaked was either late august or september, so i dont think were gonna get all too much information right now
