Wow, that's a fantastic price for some solid analog/true bypass pedals.

Wow. There are some great sounds there...
Weirdly:
“Gunslinger” still apparently full price though.

i know, who can say. the whole enterprise appears rudderless since they purged the product development team a couple years ago. i'm going to pick up the Phasor in any event -- good pedal, great price -cestlamort wrote: ↑Thu Apr 16, 2020 9:19 pmWow. There are some great sounds there...

I would probably jump on a blowout Gunslinger. Oh well.cestlamort wrote: ↑Thu Apr 16, 2020 9:19 pmWow. There are some great sounds there...

Seems like European webshops aren't blowing them out (yet?). I have a Gunslinger and a Looking Glass and both are fantastic, so might be interested in buying a couple more at those prices. Used to have a Rubberneck as well, it could do a lot of cool stuff, but there was an annoying hiss on every repeat. Probably just inherent to analog delays, but I couldn't get over it.

I need a compressor and at least Andy's demo makes it sound better than most compressors so I bought one. Then bought the phasers and Boost for good measure. My SHO is sometimes too hard to tame.

This seems to be the case for some of the newer analog delays. (Older ones tended to have hiss all the time ). It may vary unit to unit (based on my experience with the Boss DM-2w).
Facebook tells me that the Rubberneck is on sale from Pro Audio Star ($119) and probably more places, too.
I have no idea what the Gunslinger does – the name just makes me laugh.

Re: looks like DigiTech is blowing out remaining DODs
That's a great deal on the Rubberneck. I've been trying to quit mine since I got a Volante, but the DOD sounds so good with that modulation. Now I have a Volante-sized hole on my board with the Rubberneck in it and the Strymon sitting on the side like a standalone echo unit.
I'm pretty tempted by both the 250 and the Boost, just to see how they sound.

The Gunslinger is kinda Rat-esque with a two band eq.

Maybe with the gain dialed back, but at higher gain settings I think it's quite different from a Rat, tighter and less fizzy (don't have a Rat at the moment to do a direct comparison though, so this is based on memory).

I’ll take your word for it. That’s my general impression checking out a few demos. I usually don’t push gain on a Rat past noon and use a fair amount of filter to tame the fizz.
