These bodies are freshly finished, polished and shielded. Just waiting on a few small pieces to arrive so I can reassemble them. Top is a vintage Domino Olympic refinished in the closest match I could find to the original finish - Molotow Belton Premium Loomit's Apricot. Bottom is a Squier CV finished in DupliColor Graphite Metallic, this will be the new home for my baritone neck.

Friday my new Bass VI was delivered from Sweetwater. So last night I leveled, crowned, and polished the frets. I applied some StewMac fretboard finishing oil and now the Laurel board is looking pretty nice. I also lowered the switches with some of my laser cut switch spacers. A set of La Bella flats went on and now I'm tweaking the setup. This thing is so much fun, I wish I hadn't waited so long to get one of these.

The ridiculousness is strong with this guitar. For better or worse, I've carried the Bauhaus Vegas yellow circles/ red triangles theme from the fretboard into the knobs:

Found some cool strap buttons in the stash:

:o It's actually nearly finished- just some retouching/tidying of the quite rough zebra paint, and some minor setup tweaks , and I think that's it...

Glacial progress...

Last time anyone saw this body, it was wood bits smothered in clamps.

Finally mustered the courage to fret and align the neck, as well as route the neck pocket.

Pretty much a "hodgepodge" of all my disparate ideas.

Yet, I am endeavoring to persevere.

Success on the alignment, but went sideways on heel radius and pocket depth. Will fill, and try, try, again...
