just found this listing on reverb and the blue Toronado colour looks completely different from the pictures fender released :

Oh yikes, that colour is nowhere near as nice as the stock photos. What the hell.

That Toronado Green/blue colour is confusing me a bit - how can Fender's pictures be so off?
or maybe the pics from that reverb ad have some weird filter? I don't know :derp:
Honestly, neither the Fender pic nor the pic from that Reverb listing look like lake placid blue to me. I'm pretty confident it's some combination of the lighting or backgrounds used.

I would imagine it might be the same shade as the already in production squier 60s classic vibe strat. Plenty of better images of that model.

anyways - I still made some mock ups with different pickguards :

Very hard decision between those and black/tort ... if the colour really has that blue teint and not green
Personally I dig the darker blue and with a white pickguard. Oh yeah.

Too much choice from Squier at the moment. Went for a sea foam sparkle tele deluxe. Will no doubt end up getting a few other models.
+1 on everything you say.

I mean, looking thru local ads, even the Affinity guitars come in the DAMN COOLEST COLORS!!! :o
I got a red sparkle bullet tele last year, and in the last few weeks I got one of those competition orange bullet mustangs. They both needed minimal tweaking to play nicely, and more importantly they look amazing, ha!

I have no hesitations buying squiers these days, and have high hope's for the deluxe tele. Looking forward to seeing people picking up their paranormal models!
HA! In fact, I also got one of those red sparkle Teles and swapped the neck (prefer maple). And also got a Bullet Mustang in gray. Before that, I'd bought the Jarman Musguar.
I was so NOT buying new guitars but Squier made me do it!
And it hasn't come to an end, either...
i love delay SO much ...that i procrastinate all the time.

^ yeah after getting a classic vibe tele in 2012, i realised that anything above that price range is just diminishing returns and slight personal preferences.

im not going to try get every cool squier like i used to before, but just the things id like to have the most. It is cool to look at stuff thats available online and thinking of maybe buying it ngl. smart thing of fender to keep it fsr mostly and not overproduce everything.

I am still wondering about the surf green cv jazzmaster with the regular tort guard that vistavision and i discovered through the fmicassets images. that one hasnt popped up anywhere yet.

One is photographed against black, the other against white. Blue will look different, any colour would.

He's one of the only ones besides that godawful In the Blues guy who's reviewing cheap pedals and gear. I think he's getting quite popular because of that. Would rather listen to his out of tune bends than Shane's boring blues wanking any day.
Unless lefties are available Shane won't be reviewing. Check out his brother Wayne's channel.

Their names are Shane and Wayne??? Very creative parenting. Must have been their father Duane's idea.

Be sure to check out their sister Jane's channel too.

My Aussie humour. Shane is a stereotype bogan name. So is Wayne. If bogan parents had twin boys the choice of names would be a no brain(s)er!

Toronado on ebay

I know I am OCD with colors and LPB is a weird color with shades of green and blue depending on the lighting etc
Still I want to know that the guitar looks like before ordering one ;)
