Got eyes on the Cyclone & Toronado, but neither of them are in colours I'm after. (Would have to fix that manually!) The Super-sonic however, I could be into both colours. Too bad I'm not as keen on that model as the others.

+1 on everything you say.

I mean, looking thru local ads, even the Affinity guitars come in the DAMN COOLEST COLORS!!! :o
I got a red sparkle bullet tele last year, and in the last few weeks I got one of those competition orange bullet mustangs. They both needed minimal tweaking to play nicely, and more importantly they look amazing, ha!

I have no hesitations buying squiers these days, and have high hope's for the deluxe tele. Looking forward to seeing people picking up their paranormal models!
HA! In fact, I also got one of those red sparkle Teles and swapped the neck (prefer maple). And also got a Bullet Mustang in gray. Before that, I'd bought the Jarman Musguar.
I was so NOT buying new guitars but Squier made me do it!
And it hasn't come to an end, either...
If you ever want to let the jarman go for a walk, please contact me first. I will give it a better home than anyone else on earth or space.

Ok so my MF . Com order just says "Backordered". Emily and the 60 cycle dude ordered them off the fender website and got them already.

I'm waiting for customer service from both places to get back to me right now. If fender.com is actually shipping right now while holding product back on other retailers I find it hilarious. I'll cancel my order from MF and just get it from fender.

I'm actually excited about my toronado being darker blue. Looks like my 2002 compstang RI.

I pre-ordered the Super-Sonic from Andertons in the UK, they are currently showing the 8th of August as the shipping date. It doesn't appear that you can pre-order from Fender in the UK.

Looks like the normal protective plastic film to me. I imagine the routes themselves are fine and won't look so ragged once the film is removed.

I'm sure someone at Fender/Squier probably got Emily and 60 Cycle guy those guitars. They pay those marketing people for a reason! Especially now that Emily and 60 Cycle guy can't go to Summer NAMM and do their marketing for them.
I'm sure some Fender dealer in '64 looked at the new Duo-Sonic II and thought, "That's not a Duo-Sonic. That's a Mustang".

this one looks goddamn good, love that the "natural" wood is dark like on the starcaster
I wonder what the neck pocket is on these. I'd love to swap in one of my spare JMJM necks.

got in contact with David Lansing from fender. I just ordered both thru him over the phone and they ship out to me Monday.
Called musicians friend and they gave me a ship date of 23rd of June so i canceled my pre-order with them. they didn't charge me any fees or bullshit which was cool.

My local shop received a few of the new Paranormal series on the 10th and I was able to go check them out. They have the Baritone Cabronita, a black Toronado, and both colors of Supersonic. I played all four. Baritone was nice but not my thing. The Toronado was pretty close to the original thing. Definitely not the same quality on the neck (super glossy, not a fan of Indian laurel) and this one had some bizarre wiring issues. All of the pots worked counterclockwise opposed to the standard clockwise. The neck pickup only had a weak signal when volume was set to about the middle. And the control knobs controlled the opposite pickups from an original Toronado. On my '98 the the top row of knobs control V/T to the bridge and the bottom set control V/T on the neck. This was flipped. Very strange! Leads me to believe this one was wired incorrectly.

The SuperSonics...I was excited to check these out. But ultimately kinda let down. The biggest disappointment was neither of the SuperSonics could stay in tune for more than a few chords. That's been kinda consistent with the youtube reviews I've seen so far. I don't know if it's the tremolo, the tuners, the saddles, or the nut...but if you're getting one of these you're definitely in for some upgrades.

Hah, I wish! Ryan and I both heard that Fender was shipping immediately and we figured buying them ourselves would be worth getting the jump on doing the early demo. I did have a coupon, though Ryan didn't. Plus, my husband has been wanting a tele, and my singer was really interested in the Super-Sonic.

I do hope that I get a few more in trade to demo -- that's generally been the plan but COVID-19 has affected production schedules for pretty much everyone, so I think it might be a minute.

Wow, really weird about the Toronado wiring. But yeah, the Super-Sonics need some work to stay in tune. I know Ryan did some work to his, and mine stayed in tune a lot better after the first day.
