For what it's worth, I've never known any MIJ guitar to use imperial screws, nuts, or bolts. I think you can take it as read they'll be metric.

Bought 2 Gator GW-JAG cases off the 'Bay to cradle my babies- I'll return & report with pics to put the case question to rest once and for all.

Re: Fender Alternate Reality Electric XII 12-String
So, if anyone is wondering what the thread diameter and pitch is for the Squier Venus XII intonation screws...it is M2.5-.045 at about 40mm in length.
I know it may not be relevant for the ARXII, but I know some people have taken the bridge from the Venus and installed it on vintage XIIs.
It took a little digging around and researching and measuring to figure out what thread diameter it was going to be...I measured the diameter of the bolt and it measured close to 2.5mm or .098" meaning it could be three different options. M2.4, 3-48 or 3-46. Unfortunately, I do not have a guage that small to measure the thread pitch at work. Regardless, it is an M2.5.
Also, old vintage saddles 4-40 at about 1.5" of length .
If these saddles ever wear out...I will make them slightly larger thread diameters to more easily source intonation screws.

Anyone have suggestions for a good capo for these guitars?

I use this one https://www.rosetti.co.uk/paige-click-12-string-capo
It takes a bit of setting up first time to get the spacing right of the overlays for the high strings, but once that’s done, I find it works well.

Re: Fender Alternate Reality Electric XII 12-String
Alright- the case question:
I bought 2 Gator GW-JAG model cases (Best Offer'd on ebay - $110 each with free shipping) and they will work splendidly- after a slight modification.
The interior of the case has some foam padding at the butt end that needs to be compressed ALL THE WAY to the wood to make room for the tip of the headstock to clear the top of the case when it closes. The case specs actually read an inch short for the 42" long guitar, but there's about 1 1/4" of padding combined at the top and bottom ends.
(pic coming)
I bought a couple bar clamps at Harbor Freight ($4bux each) to squoosh the foam down- I'll leave them on for a few days to give it memory, and then close the guitars in to let the shape settle.
(pic coming)
The custom-build Texas Toast XII (built from the Faction Guitars template) is about 1/8" shorter than the Fender in total length- imperceptible except for the tight tolerances for the case fit. It fits ever-so-slightly easier, but they both are snug in their new hardshell cocoons!

Re: Fender Alternate Reality Electric XII 12-String
Ended up trying one of those cheap silver Kyser capos it works perfect on the Alternate Reality XII! They’re usually a little wonky on my 6 string guitars because it has a fixed amount of clamping pressure but turns out it works great on a 12 string.

Re: Fender Alternate Reality Electric XII 12-String
Anybody know where one can get pickguards for the Alternate Reality Electric Xii?
I have already been pointed to custom makers. Just wondering if anybody has a line on where to order one?

Good question! I was already thinking of having spitfire make me a baby blue one.
I haven’t seen any though from other sellers.
