I think I'm going to make some Pickguards.
I traced my guard and made a 3D Model

Excellent, if you make this, probably I would buy one.

Got mine this week! The setup was terrible, but after a restring and some time adjusting the neck and bridge - I got it dialed in nicely. Only other change was the knobs. Neck is a bit thin for my taste (feels Ibanez-ish) but I got a Stratocaster XII coming in tomorrow, and hopefully that neck feels better to me.

Here is mine, the same with the original buttons but a rotary selector. I would like a white pickguard on it, to match my Johnny Marr Jaguar Olympic White.

You give me an idea with the buttons ...

An anodized gold pickguard would be awesome but it would also have to replace the chrome control plate.

Anyone have suggestions for a good capo for these guitars?
For anyone else looking, Shubb do a 12-string capo.

Apologies for the Amazon link. The first couple of links I followed didn't show the product they supposedly linked to.

Hey everyone.
I unexpectedly traded my 2012 MIJ Bass VI for a white ARXII yesterday and am quite pleased.
The reason I stopped by here is to let you know that these fit absolutely perfectly inside of the Fender Jaguar Baritone Custom case.

Hey folks, you can get a replacement pick guard for your AR XII now, in just about whatever color scheme you want. Wavering between black and pearloid for my white XII. https://www.wdmusic.com/wd-custom-pickg ... tails.html

Some good options on there- along with some horribly offensive ones!

I'm thinking about a 'melting rasta' theme for my LPB XII :-X :-X :-X :k

So is anyone playing these as a 6 string yet? Always loved the pickups and the shape but 12 strings is just 6 too many for me.

I tried it. Sounded and felt really nice. Honestly as a 6-string it just kind of sounds like a much less noisy Jazzmaster. The really wide fretboard helps deal with the string spacing issues that some JMs have.

Good to know it's a viable option, I wonder if there'd be any long term issues for the truss rod from the lack of tension.

There's no reason, once the TR is set for 6 strings, it should not move.

If anything it's probably better for the neck in the long term. 12-strings of all kinds are notorious for developing unfixable bows over the years.
