Re: Post pics of your guitar family
New ones are the green (MIJ Hybrid) Strat and (Vintera) Mustang bass.
Sometimes I wonder whether I just buy new guitars for the purpose of taking colour palette photos to stare at for hours on end

Re: Post pics of your guitar family
figured I might post part of my family aswell:
First picture is my current setup at home, the second one is a bit older, before i re-organised my whole space.
Pictured are my current two main guitars for recording / gigging.
Left one is a 2019 LTD American Pro JM with the rosewood neck (love that colour!)
Right one is my main babe since 2012. Has quite some wear as this has literally survived fires and tons of damages, but she still keeps going.
Originally was a 2012 65 AVRI, made the Johnny Marr Mod myself and took it everywhere I possibly could go.
(btw. I love beat-up offsets, I hope the JM becomes exactly the same after this whole corona stuff has ended and we're allowed to go touring again.)

Beautiful guitars! Loving that IBM Jag! Is that guitar on the rack in the first pic next to it and the JM a Fender Coronado?iStringz wrote: ↑Thu Jun 18, 2020 12:51 amfigured I might post part of my family aswell:

Thank you! That IBM Jag is as I said my workhorse, and I love her so much!
Yes it indeed is! It's pretty much original (besides the tailpiece and tuners).
Am still looking for a decent original tailpiece, problem being that they are rare and sometimes quite expensive.
Here's a full picture of it, together with my 71' Vox Defiant!

I bought a sheet of old Italian celluloid and had a luthier friend cut these pickguards for me. Also added a J.Mascis squire to the family a few months ago.

Father's Day! Got a chance to clean up the home-bound sister-wives- a couple missing, but here's some 12-string insanity for ya:

Thanks! Yes, it's a 1999-2001 Japanese Jag in OTM.

That Univox 12 string looks amazing what's it like playing/sound wise?SignoftheDragon wrote: ↑Mon Jun 22, 2020 12:59 amFather's Day! Got a chance to clean up the home-bound sister-wives- a couple missing, but here's some 12-string insanity for ya:

Re: Post pics of your guitar family
The Univox is my first true vintage guitar, and a great player! I lowball offered and got it off Reverb in pretty rough shape for cheap, and put a little work and money into it to get it singing again- New nut, fret dress/crown/polish, new switch and jack, as well as some repairs to old soldering/wiring.
Nice and smooth playing, comfortably chunky neck. The pickups have great chime and clarity- I'm looking forward to hearing it in a band setting as soon as the Covids are defeated. The real surprise on this guitar is the trem- it actually works great! Cool surf bends and Shields/Mascis wiggling and it returns true!

JM 62 :: 3,8kg :: has been modded with Mastery bridge and Lollar pickups :: the only of the 3 made of alder body
Deimel :: 3,6kg :: P90 bridge and probably 500k volume pot makes is the roundest and most rocking guitar :: C chunky neck
CS 58 :: 3,3kg :: so light ! the most resonant of all 3 (impressive!) :: the brightest and most precise
