I have a Fiesta with the 50th Anniversary Sticker on the back of the headstock. Swapped Guards and pickups quite a lot since I got it back in College.

Thanks for chiming in, Chris.
According to the serial number, your Jag-stang is a MIJ 1995. A very interesting one, also.

What has caught my eyes is that even though the neck is definitely from 1995, pictures of your guitar have just proven my suspect about the mating of necks and bodies from different eras.
Your body shows in fact the characteristic of the revised version, making it a possible one of the very first "transition era":

I still have to identify & decipher the pattern of the stamps in the neck pockets throughout the various years, but I came across one specific sample that might confirm my theory about the mating of different spec'd bodies and necks:
Image
As we can see there's reference of both "95 EX" (ex: demo? Transition era?) and of the later printed "JUL '96".

Again if you guys have the body and or pickguard lying around suitable for a tracing and are willing to help, please chime-in.
It would be of tremendous help. :)

I have the body in my guitar room unloaded. What is the best way to trace it for you?

Edit. I saw your post about how to trace accurately. I can also do a rubbing of my pickguard also for you.

Fun times. The neck pocket stamp picture I had is from a different body by accident. I had two Fiestas. The body with the anniversary stamp had this pocket stamp. :) I tried to use your link in the other thread, but the cloud file was down. I did a rubbing at the neck pocket and of the pickguard and some more pictures. Let me know if that helps.

Chris! You've been fast :w00t:

I don't know what the problem is with the downloadable pdf in the guide but, anyway I put the file on dropbox and it looks fully working now.
Ready to be used to the new trace be sent via email after being scanned.
Without the template and the scan, perspective will distort pictures too much to make the reconstruction possible with the best accuracy.

For what concerns the accident with the pictures taken off the wrong body, I though about such a thing happening, that's why I've put in the A4 a few lines in which to put description of the item. eg: "pickguard off a 2002 CIJ", "body, Fiesta Red 1996" and so on.

It will make life easier on my part as well when comparing things out.
I do apologies for the hassle, but it's the best way I can think of to accomplish such a task, unless someone has an already available digital trace of a jag-stang body

I've sent you a private message with some details as well.
Trust me, it's a work that's better be done behind the scene as otherwise would incredibly over bloat this already massive thread.
Our readers will appreciate it.
I will nonetheless update the thread when our dirty work is done :)

Double thanks for the patience.

I made a template of my 1996 Jagstang.
It's 100% accurate as it was traced using a ball bearing router bit. cavities and all.

Wanted to give everyone a quick update.

I managed to reach out to Derek Duncan who is looking into the custom jagstang pickup. That's a huge accomplishment in of itself.

I haven't made any ground on anything else unfortunately. I contracted Covid-19 and I fought it for 2 weeks before it severely damaged my lungs. I then went to the hospital where I spent a week. I am not 100% but I am so much better than I was. I am going to make a full recovery, they just want me to finish it at home because our local hospitals, last I knew, were at 91% capacity.

I haven't gave up on the quest and I want everyone to know that. I just need a little time to rest and a little time to recover. I will update you all when I learn something.

Just wanted you all to know where we are at.

Damn! This stupid virus. My wife and I caught earlier this year it but it never got bad enough that we had to go to the hospital. Even then, the feeling of not being able to breathe properly lasted about two weeks. Didn't like it one bit. Get well soon...

Thank you very much. I appreciate it! I'm glad to hear that you and Mrs. Epizootics survived this crazy virus as well!

When it hit me, it hit me like a flu at first and I believed I could handle it because I am young and relatively healthy. After about 17 days, it attacked my lungs, and I began having difficulty breathing. I attempted to fight it and I even tried sleeping sitting up to enhance breathing. It turns out, that decision was killing me. When i entered the hospital, my oxygen level was at 76 and they want you to at least be at 90. After a long week and some experimental treatment, I wasn't 100%, but nothing I couldn't finish at home. I have a bit of a new lease on life. I'm happy to still be here. So are the doctors that took care of me. They said I was "pushing my luck." I'm thankful not to be a death statistic.

If anyone gets ill or has any suspicion that they may have this virus, I encourage them to go get checked and treated if needed. This virus seems to hit everyone a little differently, but I wouldn't treat it any less serious. Definitely seek help if you need it. Don't hesitate.

So sorry to hear about you catching the virus!

I've started on the template of my 96 Jagstang.
It's traced accurately as I possibly can. Still needs heaps of work but here's where I'm at.

Awesome. I'm looking forward for your update.

P.S.:
Could you put a scale reference on the picture, there's one thing I've got to double check

Thank you. I'm not 100%, but I am definitely 100% better than I was. It's just going to take a little time to finish healing. But I am glad to still be here and alive. I was not in good shape. Clearly, my work isn't done. :)
