SD1 for sure. For the longest time I was using it wrong and referred to it disparragingly as "the yellow box of meh", but once I realised I had my gain and volume knobs set the opposite of what they should be and recognized how powerful the tone control was it became essential.

Eventually I'd love to give a proper CE1 a go.

So hard to pick a favorite. Although there is nothing quite like a DC-2 in stereo.

Boss is by far the best pedal company ever. As far as modulation and time based effects I don’t think anyone else does it better.

My BD-2 is always on.

I've owned a few over the years...my favourite and most used is probably the GE7 EQ. :)

I really should get one.

I’ve reconfigured everything to make that the new normal. And RV-2 is great too.
I’ve really been enjoying the ME-5 over the last couple years but that seems like a “wish for more wishes” answer here.

Yup the RV-2 might be the most underrated boss pedal. I love mine.

I've only owned two BOSS pedals, a DS1 distortion and an RC20XL loop pedal.
I didn't have any issues with either.
I still have the looper.

Most of pedal collection, both past and present consists of EHX products.

I like the trem and the reverb quite a bit. I think favorite I'll just be boring and say DD-2.

I started with Boss pedals back in my early days of guitar playing. Then i went through a lengthy period of being anti-effects, followed by a lengthy period of being obsessed by effects!

After crawling through many boutique pedal rabbit-holes i’ve recently started coming back to Boss. They are like a reliable old friend.

My current favourite is the CE-2w. Great sounds and easy to use.

Cheers!

Another vote for the GE-7 EQ. Very useful for live playing!

A few years back, it would've been the Blues Driver for me, though I don't know if that would count as mine was a Keeley-modded one. Currently, I would say my pair of LS-2's is a bit of a favorite for me, seeing that they can do something that I couldn't find elsewhere.

Eh, it counts. You can only change a pedal so much, usually.

What cracks me up about boss pedal and associated mods is that some people really go for the bunkum. "Boss DS-1s are terrible, except if you get the original bla bla model with this style label" and not only do people lap that nonsense up even though the changes over the years are pretty miniscule, but you also see mods to pedals of yore to make them more like themselves. "Get this mod on your original bla bla with this style label model DS-1to make it sound exactly like Steve Vai's!" And that kind of thing. EHX reissued the opamp muff and JHS does a Billy Corgan mod or something to make the pedal sound even more like itself. Nice! That's worth the money!

Just get a pedal and play with it, people
This is an excellent rectangle

The RV-3 is my favorite traditional-size Boss pedal. But the DD-500 is my current favorite Boss pedal of any size.

I've got a PT-MINI for small gigs and practices, And there's always a BD-2 and a SD-1 on there. Also DM-2 and the Behringer vibrato (Will eventually get round to a VB-2w). I also have a FZ-2 on my recording and bigger show board.

These have all been mentioned though, so I'm going to bring up an underrated gem that I rarely see around. The BC-2 Combo Drive. It's a Vox in a box and it really does a great job on those kind of sounds. It's not going to replace your AC30 any time soon, but for my money it nails that full on drive you can get from a Vox TB channel, but rarely get the chance to use at controllable volumes. Hit it with a Rangemaster, and things get full on Brian May if that's your bag.

There's loads of boutique amp in a box pedals that get a lot of love. I've got Catalinbread and Lovepedal version of these and I love them. However, I think Boss' attempts at these, particularly the Combo Drive, Power Stack and Bassman, do a better job than they get credit for, especially in a live context. Add that to the bullet proof and affordable nature, and it's hard to beat IMO.

Been looking into the BC-2. Looks like a great little pedal for a small price.
