GuitarPartsResource. They're US based & will charge more for postage (obviously) so think if you'll need any other parts & make a bulk order. People on this forum have had gripes with them in the past but they've been good to me. Touch wood.

AllPartsUK - Basically a UK distributer for AllParts in America. They do JM parts but it looks like the only pup covers are white.

I've ordered from GPR quite often. I've only had one problem with them, and it was regarding a trem arm that didn't fit....It was unidentifiable.
Everything else has been flawless, though.

Don't expect them to come with screws, though. If you're doing a build, that can cost you a lot of hassle and time.

Its a very good point actually.
I ordered the wrong screws to begin with. I was told they were P-Bass screws but they're actually smaller.
These are them.... http://www.guitarpartsresource.com/scre ... genfen.htm ....I think.

Re: black JM pickup covers?
great, thanks, yeah i am doing a build, i will post pics at some point, i'm still in the process of finishing, and it went a little bit wrong as this is my first project, nothing i can't fix, just was careless and somehow got some sanding sealer(there was an old cup that had sealer in lying around the garage, i must have knocked it somehow) on the most recent coat and didn't notice, came back the next day and couldn't get it off without taking a small chunk of the laquer with it, very annoying.
i have all the parts i need now except for pickup covers, toggle switch, string tree and a 0.33uf cap. I could get white covers, i was considering it for a while, but i think black covers with the black pickguard just looks so good, it will be worth getting it shipped.

click pic - type B is correct.

BTW:They have the right AVRI arm with good pics of the "collet" end too, Nolan.
Someone knows where I can find the nearest woodchipper to throw my pieces of junk into?

Re: black JM pickup covers?
thanks for the link! and i already have a japanese fender trem, i'm doing this on a budget, so trying to cut costs, although i have probably gone way over budget by now, i've lost track, ended up having to buy a lot more cans of nitro than i thought.

Type A is the Jazz Bass pup screws and is what GPR seems to sell.

Re: black JM pickup covers?
the ones I got for my partsmaster seem too long
they are 3.7cm
and the last cm is very hard to screw in
and now I fucked up some of the heads, and I'm unable to screw them in more
I was ordering some from GPR when I read this thread
and now I don't know what to do... :-\

Thank you for shopping at Parts is Parts. Screws are backordered. Fender has no ETA available for them, so they may take a while. We will charge and ship your order when they arrive. Thank you.

so I'll go for the GPR ones...
but I think I'll have to drill a little more to screw them without damaging the head
