Earlpilanz on ebay. From Glasgow.https://www.ebay.de/str/earlpilanz/ he seems to be away this week though - but back on Monday. Got all my replacement guards from him so far!

Re: Squier Classic Vibe 70s Jaguar
Here's mine, had it since march. I've made a few modifications and done my best to set it up.
First thing I did was put strap locks in.
I taped the bridge posts as I'm not one for vibrato. The guitar has been brilliant for tuning stability, even in my freezing cold bedroom, so I'll keep it like this.
I also shimmed the neck so the bridge wouldn't sit so low when I set the action.
I'm using 11-48 (power slinky) strings. As a bit of a beginner, I do find them stiff at times but I'm toughing it out, though I'd be lying if I said I hadn't considered 10-46s.
I've put in a 3 way switch for the pickups and made the bridge pickup switch a kill switch. The strangle switch functions as normal.
I did quite like the tort guard but I felt like it made the surf green look a little too pale. The new pickguard is a parchment colour but it's quite subtle unless you have a white to compare it to. I think it's an improvement.

@galvanism pickguard looks great and the fretBoard is a nice shade (darker).

Thanks. One of the perks of Sweetwater letting you choose from the bunch. This one had the nicest burst and darkest neck compared to the others. Wasn't the lightest but being a bassplayer it didn't really matter.

Re: Squier Classic Vibe 70s Jaguar
So it seems at some point Squier/Fender started using pickups with different specs in these. I believe for the first couple years, they were nearly identical to the Jag pickups in the VM models with the hotter bridge. I just measured the pickups in a late 2020 model and the neck pickup reads 6.12k and the bridge is 5.81k, so the bridge is much less than reported for the first version! Not sure if they changed suppliers or pickups due to the covid, or for some other reason.

Yes, the VM's "Duncan-Designed" pickups had a big diff in DCR between neck (~5.8k) and bridge (~11.4k).soul1 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 04, 2021 3:00 pmSo it seems at some point Squier/Fender started using pickups with different specs in these. Fender quotes +/- 10% DCR tolerance on their pickups, and so while the CV's are only "Fender-designed" (=> not Fender-made) it's possible that your 2020 CV pickups were designed to have nominally equal DCR.
Roswell (an arm of Korea's WSC Music) appear to be the pickup maker for the Classic Vibe Jazzmaster ....

Roswell list a neck jag pickup at 5.9k and jag bridge at 11.8k ...

Most likely Fender using up old stocks of VM Jag pickups on the new Classic Vibe Jags. On my CV Jag the label on the newer CV pickups reads "Bass VI/Jaguar" and measure 5.8 bridge and 6.2 neck. So I swapped mine over from bridge to neck and vice versa and I think it sounds better for balance.soul1 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 04, 2021 3:00 pmSo it seems at some point Squier/Fender started using pickups with different specs in these. Re: Squier Classic Vibe 70s Jaguar
Just got a shell pink one and setting it up! I switched to a mint pickguard but would like to get more aged white or cream pickup covers to match it better. The stock ones are noticeably whiter than my other Fender "aged white" plastics.
Does anyone know the pole spacing on the pickups (51.5mm or 52mm)? My measurement tools and eyes are not precise enough to make out a 0.5mm difference, and the Fender USA Jaguar pickup covers (005-4492-049) are 51.5mm per a vendor.
Or if you know of other brands that are known fits, please let me know! Thanks!
EDIT: The Fender USA Jaguar pickup covers 005-4492-049 do indeed fit my Squier CV 70s Jaguar. I didn't find exact measurements for the pickup covers, but I did find out Bare Knuckle uses these covers for the Marr pickups, the pole spacing of which is 52.2mm.

Opinions between the stock pickup covers versus more aged looking ones from Fender?

Normally I would prefer the stock ones but the aged ones look like like a better match to the colour of the binding.
