Here is my board as of late. I am not sure why I have the Flint on there. I like all three tremolo sounds but none of the reverbs are that good. The Magnavibe clone is brand new and so good. And the Dano Fish’n’Chips is set to STUN.

Managed to squeeze a Fuzz Face mini onto my board so that has been a lot of fun today :D

Image

Signal path is: Fuzz Face -> Crybaby -> Super Hard On -> TU-2 -> Viscous Vibe -> SY-1 (+Expression Pedal) + JB-2 in the SY-1 loop (with switch for BD-2/Angry Charlie modes) -> Pipeline Trem

Just completed a huge overhaul and update to my effects setups.
I was using the small, temple Solo 18 in a new band. Mostly just a bare bones set up until We worked out parts and I could figure out what type of sounds I would be able to get away with. Just as Covid hit I was on the verge of moving up to a bigger board to accommodate everything. Long story short, after months of rearranging the small board to mess around with whatever I was feeling like playing at home, i am finally in a position to start playing with my drummer again on a regular basis.

Cue the big board! A few more dirt options than I really need. But there were a couple sounds that I couldn’t live without. Being able to run the OBNE Dark Star full wet into the SS/BS and the Basic Audio fuzz mutant were an absolute must. The EQD Life Pedal will come in handy when I get to use my AC30. The carbon copy is just a stand in until my EQD Hummingbird comes back from repair-my delay needs are pretty well covered by the MLJr and belle Epoch Deluxe.

The smaller board will be a work in progress. I got the Iridium recently for at home use and really love it. I’m playing more than I ever have due to being able to play at any time without having to get an amp set up. I’m going to add an Empress Reverb and probably a flint. That would pretty well cover my at home playing needs and be great for the more atmospheric stuff I like playing by myself.

Anyway, sorry for the long read... here’re the boards with my #1 for the last 8 years. Guitar Mill swamp ash body, allparts neck, jerry Donahue bridge pickup and SD Antiquity II neck pickup.

Took a bit of a posting hiatus - I think I've completed my board, for a bit at least. I finally got around to get a Deco. I use it as slapback delay before El Cap. The drive is compressed but sounds great too. Also, the right output goes straight into the 720 looper, to sort of have a wet-dry rig.

I am thinking of getting a DMC.micro to save/recall midi programs on the CBA pedals. The Expression pedal is dual output, it will probably be connected to the midi controller and the Dark Star.

Got a refund for a reverb pedal that wasn't working. Ordered a Caroline Meteore and an IdiotBox Effects Power Drive. SO excited. I just brought the pedals out of their boxes the other day and set them out for the first time after the move. Feels SO good to have it all out and accessible again. I want to finally figure out my last couple pedals, and then build the final board for my main board. It will be so nice to have a final iteration of a home board, so I can just plug it in, and play.

Also, considering my love of early Pink Floyd, I'm considering making a Gilmour-inspired board. The pedal chain would go: [guitar] > Greer Amps Lamplighter > EQD Grand Orbiter > Analogman Sunface BC-109 > IdiotBox Power Drive > Caroline Parabola > Catalinbread Echorec. I think that small board could be REALLY fun. I'm not sure, per Gilmour's way of doing things, if I'd put the Power Drive before the Sunface or vice versa. The Parabola would be used in conjunction with delay to get the Leslie/Uni-Vibe tones, though I'm considering a proper vibe pedal too. I don't have one, and have always considered it. The nice thing is, the Sunface is the only thing I don't have at the moment, but I do have fuzz, so I can fake that for the moment. But otherwise, I have everything already, so it could just be a fun, small-board for me.

There’s no such thing as final...

I just can’t with that name... maybe because it sounds like boner? Similarly, the Gurus Echosex could be the greatest delay pedal ever but I flat out refuse to own it because of the name...

There will be here. I may make small boarders for fun, but I've spent a long time finding my sound, and it is almost complete. There's nothing I want to do that I can't do minus a pedal or two that I'm still waiting on.

I've had both too, and I hated the Boonar. I wasn't in love with Z.Vex-esque sideways enclosure, but I got it because I liked the head buttons better. I thought it sounded lackluster compared to the Echorec.

huh, weird. i've found every cbread pedal i've tried to be a nice but bland version of whatever sound it's copping. i like pedals to have bags of character and the boonar certainly does. i totally see how it would NOT work with certain setups tho.

i just remembered, my biggest beef with the cb echorec was the wimpy oscillations and the boonar oscillates really nicely.
