Got this in the mail today. Took a while to get shipped but worth the wait. Sounds cool and can get weird.

Don't know about the pedal, but one of my favorite German words...

A new one on me. Looks like it'd be right at home in Death By Audio's line-up. What does it do that a 'normal' echo won't?

And what does fernweh translate as?

I`m figuring it out a little. As far as I now understand it are 2 normal delays with a master time function. There are some demo`s on youtube you can check out.

Fernweh roughly translates to: the desire to go far away from home. It`s the opposite to homesick.

Excellent that Germans distilled such a complex idea into a single word.

Yes, the opposite of homesick (Heimweih) but also different than Wanderlust (more melancholy somehow).

I`ve returned the pedal for a refund.

One of the two delay channels added noise and artifacts to the delay trails. After first stating that this a characteristic of the PT2399 chip and a lot of messages back forward theys send me repalcement chips. This made no difference to the sound and they returned to the statement that the unit is supposed to be this way. This is ofcourse very strange because the other delay channel didn`t have this problem.

I don`t want to bash JPTR FX, they where generaly nice and helpful in the messages but I`ve tought you should know this because I`ve started this thread.

Speaking of JPTR, I recently got a Double Jive. I'm not convinced it works 100% as it should, but I got the sound out of it I wanted so I am keeping it. I really like the sound I have coaxed from the pedal. They were very good about getting back to me when I asked about what I think is a fault though.
