Walrus Slö

Post by peterherman » Thu Sep 03, 2020 3:44 pm

Walrus had a discount on a blemished Slö the other day which brought it in line with used prices for new. Then I found out that Honey had a discount code for another 15% off or something. Lo and behold it worked, and I now have this dreamy little unit on my board for under $145.

Playing around with stacking it now. So far I like the Dark setting, X control maxed, little over 50% wet, stacked into a room reverb with a long trail. 100% wet is a nice effect on its own, and I'm sure would be amazing in a parallel loop or something.

I have a Fathom, so I can imagine how awesome the Slö must be. Walrus makes great stuff! 8)

looks cool and $145 is a great price! Is it instant slowdive leads?

I really love my Slö but Big Ear’s Elle keeps it off my board fairly reliably.

It can get Slowdive-y for sure. I keep dancing around just getting a Zoom MS-CDR70 for a pedalboard-friendly soft focus algorithm and never pulling the trigger on that. I've got an FX500 hanging around for the REAL THING, and this is the third reverb on my current board with the MXR M300 and the OBNE Minim.
