Cursed maybe, but certainly looking good!niksureal wrote: ↑Mon Sep 21, 2020 11:16 amthe original pink finish was never good and constantly bothered me so i finally decided to refinish it.
weirdly, even though i didnt change a single thing, even used the exact same shim, the bridge now has to be bottomed out to get proper string height. hopefully the neck stays put and i dont have to take it apart again to add a new shim to lower the strings so i can raise the bridge.
gah. this guitar is cursed.
EDIT: just put a shim in so i wasnt thinking about it. adjusts much better now.

Are those round switches coil-splits for the humbuckers? What kind of switches are they? I love them!niksureal wrote: ↑Mon Sep 21, 2020 11:16 amthe original pink finish was never good and constantly bothered me so i finally decided to refinish it.

ha. thanks.
they are bog-standard rocker switches. on/off for each pickup (single coils). can find them on most electronics sites/ebay/amazon etc.

More of this, please.Perry wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 11:27 pmI've been working on a tenor baritone for some time--stopped a while ago and have now started again. I paint most of my pickguards, and this is the second attempt with this one--using about six colors. The pickguard is five-ply, so there will be a border once the paint is scrapped off the edge.
This guitar is mostly made from parts from other guitars. One of the few items I bought specifically for it was the bridge. Still a long way to go until finished, but it's getting closer.

Thanks for your interest. This is a photo of the headstock. I'll try to send another photo of the nearly completed pickguard on Friday.

Updated photo. The switch looks out of place and will be changed. I'd like to use the switch because it was on the same guitar as the pickup, but it doesn't fit the look of this guitar.

took delivery of this beast today. it looks cool but imho, it's far from perfect (for me anyway) the wrhb is a house of tone model..... it sounds good. the p90 is a tonerider r90. it sounds good but i dont think it suits the guitar. it also needs a new 17th fret. the relic is fairly well done. not the best i've seen but far from the worst. the bridge and tuners are a bit too fancy for me. it's got one of those babicz bridges which i played for 20 mins and just couldn't gel with. the tuners are planet wave locking tuners which seem a bit..... pointless on a guitar without a trem. but hey. i got a friend who already wants them.

Perry, that is whacky in the best possible way and I love it. How does it balance on a strap?
