What Guitar is This?

Post by FEXII » Sat Oct 03, 2020 1:59 pm

Interested to identify the white SG style guitar in this video, from 1994 I think. Anyone know what it is?

Edit: For any Australians . . . it's a clip from hey Hey it's Saturday!

And yes you are right Maton are an Australian make.

It looks a lot like an early seventies japanese SG copy that were sold in Oz.

They may have been sold under several different brand names.

Ampeg Super Stud ?

It looks like a slightly different version. The headstock is a different shape on that Ampeg guitar.

As suggested by Windmill it looks like there may have been multiple versions sold under different names.
