Black Schecter Stargazer

Post by HNB » Sun Oct 04, 2020 2:15 pm

I have a white one of these. I really like them. The stock pickups are ok. A little too bassy for my tastes. I will likely change the pickups out. The coil split option is cool on these. I like the Rik inspired vibe, tailpiece, and binding. :D

People get mad at Fender for rehashing classics while Schecter busts out so many designs. Hard to keep track of all their gear.

The Korean made Schecters I’ve played have all been very nice instruments

I remember when you got the white one with the Duncans, I had been ogling it on Reverb for days when you snatched it up and saved me from myself.

I think it's a really sharp design at a really nice price by an underrated brand. The bass is also really sharp and sounds killer with a bridge Musicman humbucker and neck J pickup:

I know, right? I have both a Rick 4003 copy and a Musicman S.U.B. (the USA-made 2-band Stingray from the early 2000's), so I have absolutely no way to justify it, but the Stargazer has been at the top of my "if I could, I would" basses for a long time.

There is a black one on Reverb. Not a bad price. I think I will hold out and look for a white one. :D

I had the 12 string version of this until recently. Very nice guitar!
