vs. mission of burma. i'm a sucker for floral patterns and i think the flowers on the chain link fence look really cool.

There was a record store in Ayr that had a vinyl of it forever, always caught my eye.
Good shout.

My faves are Slayer's Reign in Blood, Siouxsie's Last Beat of My Heart single & the first six Iron Maiden covers.

LOVE that Duster LP cover. I think the obvious answer here is MBV Loveless. Concur about the Daydream Nation sleeve.

Just scrolled through a bunch of stuff and here's some covers I love:

Slowdive - Pygmalion
Aaron Dilloway - Modern Jester
Wolf Eyes - Burned Mind
Andy Stott - Luxury Problems (and pretty much all of his LP art for that matter, all in a similar style)
The Caretaker - pretty much any of the sleeves done by Ivan Seal for An Empty Bliss... or Everywhere At the End of Time series
Oneohtrix Point Never - R Plus Seven
Radiohead - Kid A and OK Computer
Autechre - Amber
Bowery Electric - self titled (a still from the old PC game Myst if I remember correctly)
The Breeders - Last Splash
CAN - Soon Over Babaluma
Codeine - Frigid Stars
Unwound - Fake Train
Dean Blunt & Inga Copeland - Black Is Beautiful
James Ferraro - Far Side Virtual
Funkadelic - self titled
Future - DS2
GAS - Konigsforst
Grouper - Dragging a Dead Deer Up a Hill and A I A
Guided By Voices - Alien Lanes
Sebadoh - Bubble & Scrape
Smashing Pumpkins - both Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie
Laurel Halo - Quarantine
New Order - Power, Corruption, and Lies
Nico - Desert Shore
Pink Floyd - Animals
Scott Walker - Scott 3

......

this list is just going on too long.....

+1 on Frigid Stars
I'm a sucker for simple 2 or 3 colour album art

You listed the breeders as well, i think the cover art for Pod is great. I saw some outtakes Vaughn Oliver took for it recently and its just so weird and cool.

I was looking for a way to decorate the walls in my small kitchen with something relatively steam-proof and I came up with the idea to print out LP-sized album covers and have them laminated. I made my selection exclusively out of albums I own, but based on visual rather than musical preference. Here's what I've got so far:

i know this one is a bit of a cliche and is kinda a parody of many jazz albums but i think i'll always have a soft spot for this one.

ok, david, you can ignore this post. so quite often how i discovered new music as a kid was by looking at the album covers in my dad's cd/record collection. this is one album cover i kinda always remember. not the best album by the band, but god damn, i think between in utero - nirvana, parallel lines - blondie and this, i had an ok introduction to music.

Image

i mean if the point of an album cover is to get people wondering about the music inside, this worked on me. as i said, to this day, i dont think it's their best album. but i still respect the band..... mostly
