XII build Wiring needed
Currently accumulating parts for a Electric XII build.
Was going with a 4 way rotary switch but just discovered FREEWAY 6 Rotary Switch.
Would love a diagram of how to wire one of these for Two single coils!
Would be nice to get out of phase with series and parallel..
I managed this on my last XII but had to add a pull pot.
Will post pics when H figure out how to do it?

Re: XII build Wiring needed
Is it actually a rotary? I can't find any information about a Free-way rotary switch on their site. If it's new, that's awesome! If it isn't a rotary, here's a link for each of their schematic pages.

Re: XII build Wiring needed
Thanks for the link.
Whoops got my wires crossed,a friend emailed telling me about freeway 6 and I thought he meant rotary. Because the thread was about my XII build,I automatically jumped to the conclusion they did rotary.....
Guess il stick with original plan,I like the quirky look of the rotary/daka..the wiring diagrams will come in handy for future builds.
Cheers

Re: XII build Wiring needed
You're welcome man! I've been interested in trying one of the Free-way switches, but it's hard to beat a rotary switch. No dead spots (if the schematic is designed right) is probably my favorite part.

Re: XII build Wiring needed
This is my 3rd build based on fender XII and im going for a more standard look, the first one I did was losely based on carl wilsons XII proto type.
Better design to be fair, Had mustang switches so modified.
Got..
Neck
Bridge
Parallel
Series
Out of phase
And dark settings

Original XII wiring was:
- neck
- both pickups parallel, in phase
- bridge
- both pickups parallel, out of phase

Re: XII build Wiring needed
Correct but with my pull pot and 4 way rotary I get the series in/out of phase too without compromising on the originals looks

Re: XII build Wiring needed
Beware that you'll achieve the original position wiring only with a vintage selector switch (made by CTS at the time).
