Hi guys!
I own a beautiful 59 JM, that has 11 holes in the body. I think that the first owner bought a tort guard in the sixties and changed it, because the old guard on it now has 13 holes. I would love to find an old 59 11 hole gold anodized guard, that I can put on it, but I simply can't find anything anywhere. I really hope that you guys can help me find one
Thanks!

11-hole bodies came with tortoiseshell guards. The gold guards had 9 holes.

I don't think so, but I could be wrong (it's been a while!)
I'm pretty sure it went... 1958: 9-hole gold guard - - - early 1959: 11-hole tort guard - - - late 1959: 13-hole tort guard
The body routing changed during the first transition, creating a different, wavier-shaped cavity near the input jack to accommodate one of the extra screws. This was tweaked later in 1959 with the addition of 2 extra screws.
