Came to post this one, what an atrocity. I was thinking to make a super low offer and try to salvage it, but I think that's beyond my skill set. Maybe a job for Will?

this one comes up every so often, the dude sometimes tries to sell it on facebook saying it's worth like $5k
What I don't get about hack jobs like this one is like... if you have a Jaguar, but you want a Les Paul, just fucking sell the Jaguar and buy a Les Paul. Why hack up a perfectly good guitar to turn it into something completely the opposite of what it actually is, especially when the thing that you want already exists? No no, let's bust out the router and have a fucking custom vibrato plate made!

I think until not very long ago you couldn't sell a Jaguar and get anywhere close to the cost of a (Gibson) Les Paul.

Did jaguars come with plastic buttoned tuners or is that a new decal on a Musicmaster etc neck?

Either way it's... priced at maybe 8 times it's true value unless they can prove Hendrix reshaped it like that to use as a backscratcher

"excellent condition" really? it needs a fret dressing, it's got no nut, it's got a misshapen headstock, the tuners look like they were too big for the holes and have caused aweful cracks...... but it's in excellent condition.

anyway. i came to post this. not vintage but god damn was that a waste of a good guitar.

Here's a goodun... total mindless butchery

Not sure this would even hold tension at this point, those bodies are a little under an inch thick, and with that hole...

Who knows what they were going for!?
