chris, i've followed your creations for years before joining. always impressed. dano does spectacular work, and I'm glad to hear he was willing to share his methods. while i'm not crazy about these patterned finshes, this is spectacular. one of my favorites of yours.

Toreador red! I know toreador is a synonym for Matador, but I always think of the race of vampires from The Masquerade RPG.
hell yes.

Thank you so much! That is really kind to say. I am going to put Mascis p90 pickups in this with black covers. :)

Have you considered doing a matching lace stencil headstock on this or might that be too much of it?

I am going to keep the headstock natural. :) Not really into matching headstocks. Not a bad idea though.

Wiring wise I am going to use 500k pots for the Mascis P90's and no upper pots. The switch will be a series switch. That can always be changed later, but I am interested to see how that works since I rarely use the upper roller sound.

Clear is done and curing. :) I have almost all the parts for the body. I think I just need strap buttons, a tremolo, neck, and tuners to be able to finish this one up.

reminds me of those lace paintjobs on lowriders/customs. it's something i've always been curious to try since my dad freaks out over a good lowrider/custom........ that and i'm a sucker for anything floral.
