Why didn't Fender do this in the goddamn first place? Makes a cool design so much cooler - and better. I mean, the Super-Sonic might just be my favorite offset design, but because of the dorky Strat trem I don't think I've ever even considered getting one.
Well because it was designed in the 90s, back when the popular consensus considered the offset trem and bridge to be unusable. As for the reissue, people would probably annoyed that it strays too far away from the original design. you cant really win.
Well yeah, obviously, but it don't make it right.

I'd love to see a coronado ii. Maybe a squier series of the 80s/90s plus series strats and teles. Hell, why not a marauder ii.

i on the other think that they should stop any making any colors that dont belong in a babys nursery. I would allow sparkle finishes and metallics too tho.

NAMM 2021 has been cancelled, but they're doing an online "believe in music" week instead.

As for Fender, "In light of COVID-19 restrictions, which caused the cancellation of the annual Summer NAMM show in Nashville, Tenn. and the brand’s decision to forgo participation in Winter NAMM 2021, Fender has created a private interactive portal for dealers to explore executive and product video and visuals via an easy to-follow user interface.

“2020 has presented unprecedented challenges for every business around the world,” said TAMMY VAN DONK, EVP SALES, AMERICA AND EMEA FENDER. “As we continually adapt to new norms, we are excited to provide a new immersive online dealer experience in lieu of Summer NAMM and Winter NAMM in 2021. It is with immense pride that Fender continues to unveil new product innovations and instill confidence in our industry at a time when dealers and players alike need them most.”

Not entirely sure when (does anyone know?) but I expect new Fender / Squier product announcements at some point this month.

Seems odd that the Maverick they did last year was ~£2,000.

I'm in the c'mon (any spec) Jag-stang camp. So long as the price tag only has 3 figures, that is. I couldn't justify spending a thousand pounds on a guitar.

Maybe the weird Bigsby Mavericks will come down in price and you'll be able to bag a relative bargain soon? They seem too niche to justify the price tag Fender have put on them, and I expect most people who would consider spending that much on one would prefer vintage correct anyway?

A jag-stang would definitely be appreciated, from either squier or fender. Those bigsby mavericks can take a hike though. I actually facepalmed when I saw that thing with the stupid Gretsch-style pickups and ridiculous price tag. May as well slap more humbuckers on an offset and call it a jazzmaster or jaguar.

Yep those new Mavs make me wanna hurl. They screwed up a screwed up guitar reissue.
But I have high hopes in Squier. To my own surprise I have been buying a new Squier every year since 2016, never thought I'd be doing that!
(make me stop!)
i love delay SO much ...that i procrastinate all the time.
