I really don't understand all these (mostly) stupid models, with different trems, humbuckers, p90s, Strat Single coils, boring colors..Why not bring back the US 62 reissues with matching headstocks and cool metallic finishes

Needs a switch to go into full P270 mode. 🚀

Given how many offsets have been made with PAFs/P90s/TOMs, I'm suspecting that this strategy has less to do with appealing to Offset fans than it does with trying to take a bite out of Gibson's share of the market.

I mean, in the last decade of Gibsonized Fender models, their guitars have been selling like absolute hotcakes while Gibson themselves have floundered, been raided by the feds, gone bankrupt, changed leadership, and made PR blunder after PR blunder.

So maybe it's working?

Fans of actual Fender designs still got things in that time span like the AV65s, Am Pros, AOs, some Alternate Universe models like the XII, the resurrection of the Starcaster and Coronado, etc.

I hope someone gets one of these and really enjoys it. Not for me but it's definitely for someone. Lord Fuzzman was posting about them this morning.

At the end of the day I really just want them to make a jazzblaster.

I guess you are right. Seems like us vintage peroid correct obsessed geeks are not their targets. :)
I really appreciate that they tried to bring back the classic designs. But they messed up with the shapes a lot. Especially on the Marauder - and of course put a Strat trem on it.

Lol I'm the only one in this thread who thinks this is sick. But then again, my guitar is a Strat Jazzmaster hybrid and I unironically want and love the Hello Kitty Strat, so I'm probs just weird. P90s in a JM seem like a good idea to me, given the kind of guitarists that gravitate to offsets nowadays.

Why couldn't they at least put three jazzmaster pickups on it (if they'd fit)? The thing looks like it's from Rondo Music

This. For some reason, p90s in offset bodies look very cheap to me.

Because it's part of a whole series of guitars with P90s (hence the name, Noventa, I assume).

I mean it’s awesome how popular P90s have become. I remember them being rare and now they’re on everything.

I'd also rather to see three JMs vs P90s

Is it, though?

The P90 is a noisy design from the 1940s. It was already considered an inferior and outdated pickup by the folks at Gibson themselves by the mid 1950s.

I understand Fender keeping their own legacy products going for the sake of history, but it's definitely moving backwards to be sticking the things on Fenders in the 2020s.

Part of this is on them as a company, and part of it is on guitarists for fetishizing ancient designs instead of moving forward.

Surf Green and Fiesta Red are great finish colours.

Absolutely ruined by the black pickup covers/knobs paired with Fender's interminably awful 'mint' green guards. :k

If I wanted p-90s, I'd play Epis or Gibsons
