DAMN!

. . .that Guild is sweet too, I've been looking for something like that I can set up and just leave in open D all the time.
Thanks!

I've always wanted to mess around with open D, but never seem to get around to it. :fp:

I've often wondered exactly what kind of plastic the Maccaferri is made from, its absolutely stunning looking. Are the tuning pegs friction?

nm, just looked it up, Dow chemical Styron (polystyrene).

They're geared turning pegs. The entire mechanism is sealed inside the headstock. It's wild.

The secret to getting a good sound out of the guitar is to play up, or over, the neck. Really takes the "plinky-ness" out of it.

Better!!! Joe's is the flattop version and mine is the archtop. Similar vibe, but mine is a bit fuller and more harmonically complex...as plastic guitars go.

Really well, like, I was surprised at how well. Easier than my 1925 Regal parlor guitar, for sure.

That's so impressive for a plastic guitar that is truly ancient by plastic standards.

Is this the acoustic guitar response to "needs more tort?" I think 70% of its surface area qualifies! It's gorgeous.
