I must admit, that being in the front row and watching mr Neil Young play through one, was what tipped me over the edge.
so about three weeks ago, I took a plunge, and ordered a Tweed Deluxe clone from Nik at Ceriatone.
Nik was super-helpful, and modded the circuit for me, so it features 6L6s and a stronger transformer....it also works with UK voltage
The amp was built within three weeks (Nik's very busy at the moment)
It was then shipped with DHL from Ceriatone and got here within a day and a half!

oddly enough, the package also escaped the import tax, so I got a great deal in the end

The amp arrived very well packaged, with all the tubes, and also a nice free t-shirt.
The plan basically is to drop this circuit in a Tweed Bassman sized cabinet that features just one Celestion Gold speaker....I like the sound of big box amps, and I think this combo will completely kill.
the only missing part of the puzzle now is the cab...it's being custom made by mr JD Newell at the moment, so I just got to wait for it to arrive and then I can plug in and RAWK!

here's a couple of pics of the amp:
and here are some large pics of the guts:

the amp feels very solid and is cleanly made using good quality parts
I'm very, very happy with it, and I'll most likely buy again from Nik in the future...possibly an 18 Watt Marshall clone or something
