Hopefully the speaker swap does what you want.

The Super Reverb reissues I was touring with (until COVID stopped all touring) had that same speaker, and they were a bit bright, especially at first.

A year's worth of shows got them loosened up a touch (to the point where I could tell if the second, otherwise-identical backup amp had been swapped in)

If the speaker swap doesn't do what you want, though, it's probably at least worth considering that while the treble booster is "part of the sound," it's also currently part of the sound you don't happen to like all that much.
I get your point of course. The janglebox with the treble booster makes the rickenbacker do the thing that no other guitar can do. Other compression pedals haven't got me there. If the Princeton can’t do it, I’ve got a vibro champ and a Vox and even a vibrolux reissue that do, so I’d rather figure out what makes those amps do it and see if I can make the Princeton do it as well (or another 1x10). I wanna sell some of those other amps because I just really want a 1x10 amp that I can use for most situations.

If the Speaker isn’t exactly the sound want change the Tubes... Tubes have a huge impact on your Sound. Especially Fender & Vox which come with not exactly the best Tubes . I’d have done that first but oh well...

If you do swap out the Tubes you might want to try the original Speaker.. You may find it sounds great..

Good luck..

My silverface Princeton reverb has a green Celestion speaker in it and it has a really nice bass response, but I’m not playing a 12 string. Still, I found myself turning up the treble to get the sounds I wanted from my Jag.

I'm perfectly happy with my 65 PRRI with stock speaker, but it is an older one with plenty of break-in time on the speaker, which made a difference. First thing I always do before considering any speaker changes, etc. is to make sure it is biased correctly - mine was not.

The only other change i have is that I run a compliment of NOS GE and Sylvania tubes. Not saying that NOS is necessary, but I always seem to like 'em a little better. Important thing is to make sure all tubes are good and bias is correct.

I absolutely threatened to get rid of my 65 DRRI every other day after I bought it! Aaarrrggghhhh!!! I hated the Sound! Every other day because I’d play a different Amp!! But, finally after what seemed like a million hours it sounded great! I like it now.. I would love to try a Celestion Neo Creamback 90 I think they’re called... Like what’s in the new Fender Pro Reverb Amp... They sound pretty sweet!!

Got the Weber 10F150T 50w speaker today. Initially struck by how much bigger the magnet is than the stock Jensen and how much heavier it is. Sounds waaay better.

As I described above id have to set the stock Jensen with the bass at 10 and the treble at 1 and the highs were always kinda shrill and the lows boomy. The Weber is totally balanced with both knobs at 5. I’d describe the tone as very warm throughout with glassy highs. Very happy with it right off the bat. Haven’t cranked it or tried anything other than my Rick 12 but totally love it so far!!

Hard to imagine the 65 PRRI’s sounding any better than they do right out of the box! Great little Amps! Love mine!

That’s interesting about that Weber spkr... Is it 10” or 12”? Now I’m curious......

Did you upgrade Tubes?

I upgraded the Spkr in my Vox AC10C1 with a Weber Special Design Blu type Spkr & love it...

Got the 10” Weber speaker. I love it! Loved it so much I put the 8” version in my vibro champ.

Dunno much about speakers but the Weber magnets are much larger and they’re heavier.
