POLL: is $750 too much to pay for 4x12 Orange Cab (black-backs)??

4x12 orange cab.. 16 ohms, black-back speakers. the vinyl is supposedly in shoddy condition..
but the guy selling it claims its a super deal! what's your take? i haven't researched prices yet.

original Black back Celestions alone could net you close to that much,maybe more.

that sounds like a fair price, not the deal of teh century but i dont think anyone is getting ripped off there. the orange cabs are soild and sicky awsome. plus there orange

i think that's a GREAT deal!!!

i was lucky to find my greenback'd 4x12 for $450, but old celestion-loaded orange cabs are rare on this side of the pond. an even more in mexico!

it's quite beat, but i like 'em like that! but careful, they weight about 20% more than a marshall cab!

i have since changed the grille to a correct one and removed those casters that kept bending. (now i don't take it outta my music room... *sigh*)

RUN and get it!!!

ps: my '76 marshall cab has blackbacks and i LOVE them!!! it's a DEAL!!!

I don't know...cabinets, to me, always seem to be overpriced. I would pay $500 max for that, probably not $750.

The Orange cabs from that era are far and away the best cabs I have ever used.

This is definitely worth noting about these though:

I think a lot of the sound comes from the heavy construction though.
