That sounds sick. I think chrome covers would be awesome. Even white (somehow) would be great!

Re: Non-Reverse Firebird/Jazzmaster/??? hybrid dream guitar build
yeah, how did I miss this thread?!!
I'm a total fan of Rossers Stuff, own an LP DC, a totally custom made Tele-Bird, and while I dig that one very much, I needed a beater guitar, that I can take anywhere with me, so I ordered another body from Rosser, and that's the result:
oh, and another Rosser on its way!

Yeah, and more credit where credit is due: That Fire-chicken was one of the guitars that made me decide to go with Rosserrkharper wrote: ↑Thu Mar 08, 2018 1:15 amyeah, how did I miss this thread?!!

Just a quick note to say that this guitar was a treat in the studio over the weekend. Cannot be happier.
Huge thanks to Rosser Guitars and anyone that helped out with advice etc.

Sorry to resurrect a 4 year old thread, but this has given me some extreme GAS.

I'm doing a similar project and would love a little more detail on playability! Is there much neck dive? Mine will be 25.5" scale; do you feel you have to reach for the first few frets?tommycarlos wrote: ↑Mon Mar 19, 2018 1:47 amJust a quick note to say that this guitar was a treat in the studio over the weekend. Re: Non-Reverse Firebird/Jazzmaster/??? hybrid dream guitar build
Thinking of trying one of these builds. I have a strat neck, 12" radius, and might go for either a P90 pickup route, (and maybe put in mini humbuckers) or JM pickups... hmmm....
Update. This is the body I am waiting on.

Anyone know if a standard pickguard would fit the non reverse firebird body (with P90 pickup routes) or if anyone makes them? In Europe preferably, but anywhere will do.

Would love to see any in-progress pictures of this build. Also: what color paint is that?Jaguar018 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 28, 2022 9:50 amI have something like this too.creedclicks wrote: ↑Mon Feb 28, 2022 8:27 amSorry to resurrect a 4 year old thread, but this has given me some extreme GAS.

I have 2 NRFB bodies on my Reverb store rn bc I just couldn’t bother building them out - one’s a Rosser and one’s a KNE. I love the body shape, I just can’t ever figure out a proper-looking neck for them.

I was thinking two of the Warmoth designs looked alright: mainly the Warhead, but the Mooncaster might be kind cool.
