No pedals.
Volume and bass full, treble at 1 o'clock. Bone rattling. Warm, thick, chunky drive. Stays clean to halfway then saturates.
I couldn't make this my "one sound". Too dry, doesn't take effects at high volume. But I could see myself being in a band where that was my one tone. It's SUCH a good gnarly, thick, mean sound.

Holiday setup, don’t really need much more than this.

It’s a great guitar. It’s only a 2021 Chinese Worn model, but I’ve replaced all the hardware and tuners with Faber (inc bridge posts which made a massive difference), added the ‘58 Bigbsy B6 that’s been in my spare parts drawer for a decade, and buffed the matt finish to a vintage-esque satin which revealed the grain filler giving it a two-tone look.
Love it, but the R7 still wins!

We've got our first show since COVID next week. Sort of a big event and we're headlining a Friday. My Bassman Ten is freshly serviced, so I'm telling my back to shut up and deal. I want a tower of Fenders.
I never thought I'd need louder clean headroom than the Bassman Ten. Just, like, 15-20% more power. I guess "need" is relative. But we're a loud band, reverb and feedback and fuzz. I guess a Bassman 100 is all that's left for me to step up to.
Dropped a pair of fuzzes from the board. Leaner. Louder.
Itchy. Tasty.

Keeping it pretty lean today.
'76 Greco Spacey Sounds (70's Tele Thinline clone) -> Tiny Garage Pedals HP-1 Clone -> Mixer -> Garageband.
Getting some pretty rad Sparklehorse-style direct-in fuzz tones with this setup!

Yes!
How do you like the Ad-999? I’ve got a 900 and love it for recording but it’s far far too dark for playing live so I’m using an old DE7 instead. Maybe a 999 is worth a scope?
Love the silver JM w/ with hats too!

The 999 is pretty great. Still very very dark though. I would personally like it a little brighter but it sounds so delicious and smooth as it is. Perfect analogue delay for home use IMHO. Live I've always gravitated to digital delays if I'm going to use one at all for the extra clarity.

Pardon the Tele, it was a backup, I swear. Didn't touch it all night.
