I see it has the new larger headstock in it. I wonder if that's connected to delay in releasing the manual. Would be interesting if it was always meant to have the larger headstock and someone at the factory simply screwed up and nobody noticed until it was too late.kimson wrote: ↑Thu Apr 27, 2023 6:33 amThey've finally released the manual:

off topic, is there an american original jaguar manual? Im going to refinish my classic lacquer and I might as well print a decal myself with the reference after the refinish.
Thanks

Aye, that’s it there man. The AV65 Jag manual’ll have the exact same decal print as the AO also.

Part of me suspects that the simply had a bunch of AO necks that had already been milled, and needed to use up the stock. No point in releasing a manual with the "correct" headstock when all these first-year models had the wrong on on them.Downsman wrote: ↑Thu Apr 27, 2023 10:52 amI see it has the new larger headstock in it. Probably just wanted to quietly make the change and hoped that most people wouldn't notice or care.

What ended up happening? I've been away.

They corrected the JM headstock, it's now the proper CBS shape. Don't think there was any kind of acknowledgement, the new headstocks just started appearing in photos and on the new instruments dealers were receiving.

So the large headstock JMs are now available from Fender and are appearing in shops in the UK (Peach Guitars has some). Has anyone bought one of these yet? I'm just wondering if they've sorted out the quality control issues at the same time. I'm struggling to come up with reasons not to buy a DR one. Besides not needing one and not really being able to afford one that is.

Also in the U.S., I own one with the larger headstock in LPB. Quality is top notch!

I am in the states, but I recently got mine. It's flawless. 3TS.Downsman wrote: ↑Sat Jun 17, 2023 2:03 amSo the large headstock JMs are now available from Fender and are appearing in shops in the UK (Peach Guitars has some).
