^ I was very close to pulling the trigger on one of those exactly before I stumbled on to my Casino, love that Guild. Still want one too. They are very uncommon in my area so it’s cool to see one in general.

I've never been a fan of painted f-holes but I'll make an exception this time. That thing is gorgeous!!!
You think you can't, you wish you could, I know you can, I wish you would. Slip inside this house as you pass by.

I'm much the same haha! The only model it looks right on for me. I tried a bunch of these old and new looking for one, this one was the best in every possible way, cheers!PorkyPrimeCut wrote: ↑Fri Apr 07, 2023 1:39 amI've never been a fan of painted f-holes but I'll make an exception this time. ES-137, Billie Joe Armstrong signature. I like P90s and I don’t like tone controls.

Re: show us yer hollow/semi-hollow guitars.
This is my semi-hollow build that I did last year. The body I built from scratch; hollowed out black korina core with a 3/4" bubinga top, finished in a nitro black edge burst, Warmoth bubinga neck with ebony fretboard, and a nice pair of low wind A2 humbuckers.
I discovered when I first assembled it that I had routed the bridge (and bridge pickup route) too far forward, so I had to change the bridge location. The bridge pickup being "too far forward" yields a thicker tone which actually works quite well with bright vintage style pickup!

Re: show us yer hollow/semi-hollow guitars.
Out of curiosity, where is the line drawn regards chambered vs semi-hollow? Is it simply the presence of an f-hole (or similar)?
Just as I was thinking that some 'semi-hollow' guitars, like my modern Rick for instance, are milled very much the same way a chambered 'solid body' would be rather than the traditional back/top/sides + centerblock method - but is considered a semi-hollow

Silly Rabbit, don't you know scooped mids are for kids?

Semi-hollow: built like a hollowbody but with a centerblock in it (doesn't need to run the full length)
Chambered: built like a solidbody, but then scooped out, and generally with a thicker top

But a chambered is still in two halves, right? A scooped out bottom half and a cap or vice versa?
