Thanks for that panoramic, listening right now and loving it!
Saw them live some months ago here in Berlin and they were truly great.

Morr Music and City Center Offices had always been amongst my favourite labels.

I saw them live on Monday, and they were excellent. They played kisses, and it seemed to fit in along with crazy for love.

Only thing though - my friend managed to score the set list from the sound tech. Blue Skied An Clear was listed but they never played it

That was just a live thing for us and we never recorded it. One of my favorite songs of theirs, too. I hope someday they'll revisit all the demo stuff floating out there and give it a proper release.

someone mentioned the harmonic/melodic similarity to Beautiful Day by U2 and now i can't get it out my head, especially as their post-revival stuff goes in the AOR direction

Yeah... it's pretty blatant, especially when you consider the video also rips off U2's "Electrical Storm" video.
Yet somehow it manages to be a lot less bland than the original, so it's not all bad.

Figured I'd wait and listen to the whole album, probably tomorrow. I am a big fan but i didn't like their fourth, i like Pygmalion a lot.

I think you’ll like the new one. It feels more similar to pygmalion than their last one, just a bit more accessible.

I think you’ll like the new one. It feels more similar to pygmalion than their last one, just a bit more accessible.

I dunno. Not really. It sounds like they've made a contemporary pop tune, which i don't know much about, but reminds me of something i've heard somewhere recently in that sort of 'dreamy synth' - pop (not dream-pop) style. I had an album listen, can take or leave it really, but 'Prayer Remembered' stands out as pretty great if not following more of the avalyn (with contemporary update) or their cover of golden hair.

I think the new album is great, except 'andalucia plays', which I really don't like at all. I think it's better than their 2017 album, but it isn't as good as their first three albums. I also think that this new album has the worst mixing and drum sound of any album they've ever released.

Slomo is my favorite slowdive track, but I think I like this album more than the 2017 one, also not a fan of Andalusia plays either. I love pygmalion, rutti is probably my most listened to track of theirs.

thanks for saying this, the drums are really poorly done on it. I agree.
