It is happening! Got another Greco. I'll be rocking so many killer Queen riffs on this thing.

Re: NGD - I will, I will rock you!
This came in, looks like it has a repair on the neck... Not a full break but something...
Needs a fret level badly. I don't know if this was an earlier one, or if the pickguard was changed, but the switches are not the toggle kind other Greco Red Special copies have.
Still a pretty cool guitar. Pics tonight.

Interesting - clearly a custom pickguard job! I wonder why, it's not like Brian's either, is it?
I hope the seller disclosed the neck crack.

I know the pickguard has been replaced, wishful thinking it was some sort of prototype, so this whole thing was probably the original wiring for the toggles... Because all the other solder joints look original.

Well, goood news. The neck is not cracked. The finish is thick and it's a long lacquer crack. I was polishing the neck with an orbital polisher and another big chunk of finish broke off, and I can see there's no crack there.
I should send it to copacetic for a sparkle refin.

Oooh yeah. Got lucky there... I'll see how i like I after a fret level and lowering the actionva bit more.
The bass side is pretty low already but the treble side is a bit higher than what i prefer. But if i lower it anymore 12 to 14th fret all play E.
I did check too with a fret rocker.

This one is claimed to be a prototype btw - white switches. The round ones on yours must have required pro skills to get the routes correct! I think there are many talented luthiers in that country.

Shit that does look like an super early one.. These are sweet guitars...
If I were to refinish it, I should probably go with something different, right?

Such a beautiful guitar.
Refinish colour might depend on whether you’re likely to sell it or not. I think it would look damn cool in black, but the red would likely sell easier.
More importantly though, we need to talk hairstyles and outfit. Now you have this guitar you seriously need to consider getting your hair permed and wearing a cape. If you haven’t already done so.
