I have replaced the stock bridge on my Marr Jag ... it's similar but more solidly engineered and heavier... sounds and feels great, to my ears the tone is richer with maybe the more massive design reflecting more energy back into the strings rather than being absorbed by the stock cast pot-metal (TimTam ?)... very pleasing to my ears and palm anyhow... biased of course...
(one of my favourite guitars too)

Is it worth replacing the current (proper spacing) Fender Marr Jaguar stock bridge with a Staytrem bridge, or would it just be a lateral move?
I noticed no difference in sound or feel. The purchase was, in my case, pointless. Save yourself the aggravation and money.

Thx for the feedback re: Marr stock bridge. I'm going to hold off on ordering it for my Marr Jags, but I did order a 9.5" radius Staytrem for my Fender Thinskin AVRI '62 Jazzmaster (which currently has a Mastery bridge on it).

Aggravation? What aggravation? You order it online, it gets sent to your home.

I'm guessing they meant spending the money, swapping out the bridges, and doing a setup, all to end up right where you started in the first place.

I’m not sure, but if you’re wanting a spare/replacement there’s a good chance John at Staytrem will mail you one if you send him a nice email.

I’m curious about that, myself.

I think they use the same thread pattern as EOM Fender - dont know whet that is though
Actually, they're unthreaded. I can't find it but somebody here found the old instructions for changing the tip which involves hot water to make the plastic playable when you pull it off and put the new one on.

Unfortunately, they are unthreaded. I'll have to measure the OD of the staytrem arm in comparison to a Fender arm and drill out a fender tip.

I was able to press a Fender tip onto one of mine. Just took some lovin'.
