What a cool concept. It’s a live Art Tatum performance converted to MIDI, played back on a Disklavier. It was recorded a few different ways. I’m listening to the binaural version.

Sonically it’s pretty astounding. I have to think there is some velocity and timing stuff that isn’t *quite* right, but the immediacy of it gives you at least some sense of what it must have been like to be in a room with the guy.

The pasted in applause is something I could really do without though.
