AD-900 Refinish
A while back, Maxon AD-900s were on some wave of desirability and I thought that getting a somewhat inexpensive stripped version was a good idea. I added some lettering to sort of help me with it.
As time went on I realized it would be more fun to get it refinished. Making it 100% vintage correct was not really in the cards, so I sent it to the Gear Ant and he had a color I liked. He also took it upon himself to try and reproduce the Maxon lettering. I'm super happy with the results.

Very cool board the and colour looks neat!
My current AD900 is a bit worn so I sometimes fantasise about somehow repainting it black and preserving the original graphics by masking them or something.

You could try to vinyl wrap, the same kind of stuff they use on cars. You use a heat gun and a squeegee to form it. Then later when you don’t want it, you just peel it off. That’s the idea anyway.
This isn’t some kind of metaphor
Goddamn this is real

Oh my God. This is chaos now.
Down is up, hot is cold. You're animals!
UK citizens of a certain age will remember the fury when Walkers changed the colours of the cheese and onion/salt & vinegar - this is the same.

Re: AD-900 Refinish
I realized I was flouting Maxon/Japanese pedal convention with this color selection.
There was a DOD delay, the 680 (I had one for a bit) that was a dark aqua blue.

Wow that sounds pretty do-able...although I'd have to practice on something else first, I guess.i love sharin foo wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2024 11:21 amYou could try to vinyl wrap, the same kind of stuff they use on cars. Too bad you no longer have the Aqua, then all you’d need was a purple pedal to make a rainbow
