I mean, it's an Esquire with a few extra bits of wood here and there, right?

^ that’s sick.
I finally got off my rump and reassembled this, with a fresh 24.75 baked maple and rosewood neck. I wish it made me feel more whole, but eh, it’s just a guitar.

Man, that pickup does look cool, I haven't seen one before. I already have the AVRI JM pickup tho - wouldn't know where to find the Ibanez.

Spent some quality time with this one today. Bottom of the line, cheap pickups and hardware, thrashed to death, absolute magic.

Re: Forgot how much I love Teles, AKA Tele Appreciation Thread
I've had my endgame tele for a year or so now.
'66. lightweight. ultra beat.
When this arrived, I had a player grade '56, a '68 in lake placid blue, and a '69 sunburst custom.
I don't own, or think about those guitars any more.

That’s gorgeous
I’ve been eyeing up a 70s tele in the same colours. It’s so tempting.
Unrelated: I’ve recently discovered that a belly cut solves all the awkwardness of the shape.

I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

Well it is an early 80s top loader, but it’s a Fender Japan TL43. You’ll understand how thrashed it is when I tell you it’s Sonic Blue under the pickguard.
