Re: Analogman!
Not entirely sure, they don't have any info on their website about it, just a space on the mod form. I believe it is somewhat similar to the BD-2 so I think the mods are similar where they really just clean up the audio path and use higher quality parts where it counts. Few of the AM modded Boss pedals really change the character of the pedal, they usually just refine what's already there and make it better.

Re: Analogman!
After having owned my MkIV for about a year and a half now, I feel confident in saying that I love it. There’s such a big range of sounds. I ordered it with the less bright tone control, which has turned out to be a great idea. Even with that, it can still get plenty bright with a Gibson and a neck PAF. I’m a dyed in the wool Fuzz Face user by now, but after using this for a while, my Fuzz Faces seem bland and tame in comparison. The MkIV isn’t something that I can use for everything that I like to do, but paired with a Fuzz Face, I’m really not lacking for anything. For all the love the Analogman Sun Faces (deservedly) get, I can’t help but feel like his take on an MkIV is underrated and overlooked.

Re: Analogman!
I picked up a MkIV recently & was pretty disappointed. I really like my Lovepedal mkiii & I hoped the Analogman would be like that + more. The AM has less clarity & it sounds awful with my Les Paul, so it’s up for sale. It does sound great with my Tele, just not as good as the mkiii which also sounds the same with humbuckers, runs on 9v & can go behind a buffer.i love sharin foo wrote: ↑Mon Mar 24, 2025 4:45 pmAfter having owned my MkIV for about a year and a half now, I feel confident in saying that I love it. Re: Analogman!
That really sucks that it didn’t work out for you. With the rest of my setup, mine really works out great for me. It’s always cold in my basement, about 55 in the winter and 60 in the summer. Maybe the difference in biasing is pretty drastic.

Re: Analogman!
When I first got it, it sounded awful - using the internal trimpot made a huge difference & it went from unusable to sounding great. So no doubt it'll be responsive to temp or guitar/amp setup as well. The one thing it has done is reinforced that I need to get a Sun Face back in my life as that was perfect for how I playi love sharin foo wrote: ↑Tue Mar 25, 2025 5:25 amThat really sucks that it didn’t work out for you. Oh man! That is super cool! I was going to order my Sun Lion in black but Mike said they couldn’t do the labeling or much of the stamping anymore. So I went with gold, which they barely stamped also
Still sounds the same though

I still miss my old Dark Peppermint, I wish they weren't hard as hell to find used and expensive as heck when they did pop up
