I’d rather get a Fender Stairmaster

I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

Awesome! I thank you and my wallet thanks you.N0_Camping4U wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2025 12:40 pmMusikraft does indeed make the headstock. I did a topic begging 5 or so other nerds to get a neck for a type 2 Marauder build. It's a killer neck. I can't remember if it's listed or not but Jim, who I was corresponding with, said that the option is there should anyone want to build a similar neck.Surfysonic wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2025 10:12 am
I have way more Jazzmasters than I need, currently at 6 if you include the hybrid Parallel Universe Vol. II Jazz Strat. I think I've decided on one of two options - get a custom Starcaster-style with rosewood fingerboard neck made and put it on one of my existing parts-build JMs. I haven't researched if anyone makes these - my first go-to choice would be Musikraft if they can make this neck type and spec it out with my specific options.

Glad I'm not the only one. These things are fugly. That carve is gross and the complete opposite of an attractive technique. Should have German carved it like proper starcaster cutouts.
Silly Rabbit, don't you know scooped mids are for kids?

Re: '25 MIJ FSRs
It kind of looks like there is a double stacked guitar at the carve, like a failed AI prompt where the last 5% goes wonky. am wondering about the comfort too as i tried a Jazzblaster with a full German carve and thought it looked cool AF but would be much more comfy with a forearm contour.

Put me in the "I like it" camp.
I want a blue one - but I'd change out the pickguard for MINT.

You'd think they could make it a thinline and put an F-hole on it so there's at least something Starcaster about it besides the headstock.

Hoping 2025 is the year they transition away from those U-shaped necks.

Ooh Antigua stair master!
Seriously though, the Antigua one looks the most true to itself, like it’s been trying to manifest this model since the color was unveiled

Re: '25 MIJ FSRs

Fender Japan just announced what might be a mid-cycle refresh of their standard line.
The words FSR and Limited are not used so the B+B jags and jms might be permanent additions. All the usual stores have them up for pre-order at 154,800 yen.
At a glance specs seem the same as the ice blue limited traditional 60s Jag/JM that were available up til last year.

Nice LPB Jag and am I right in thinking the Traditional 70's is a new line for the Mustang? I can only remember there being '65 reissues

These are absolutely gorgeous and I’m very excited/afraid to see the FSR colors of those B&B JMs that I will not be able to justify buying

Re: '25 MIJ FSRs
The Traditional 70s Mustang was already a part of their standard range, I dont know if the headstock is bigger in this new one.forestgreen wrote: ↑Wed Mar 26, 2025 8:33 pmNice LPB Jag and am I right in thinking the Traditional 70's is a new line for the Mustang? but it appears that Fender Japan has used the same “Traditional Late 60s” title for both the Jag/JM regardless if certain releases came with with dots, block and binding or different size headstocks.
