Authenticating a mid-'60s Jazzmaster Tailpiece

Hell all.
I've recently acquired what is allegedly a '64 Jazzmaster tailpiece for a nice chunk of change. Is there any way to know whether it is legitimately vintage or not? Any indications or things I should look for on the unit? Suggestions would be much appreciated.

I'll get some on here in a bit. Took a bevy of fine photos. I also have taken a few of the brand new, never used AVRI tailpiece I have. I'll post them as well if necessary. Very different. Weighs more, though I don't know if that's a good or bad thing. It's always been my understanding that the older ones are simply, intrinsically better. Better metals, better handiwork, etc..

I use Imgur to host my photos. It's free and they provide BBCode under sharing options.

Looks like the photos aren't public, Drive says I'm not authorized to access them.
