New Administrator appointment.
As the board membership grows, so do the demands on the admins and mods. We do have a higher mod to member ratio than many sites, but we are all part-time volunteers.
Accordingly, the decision was taken to appoint a new admin. Rather than offer the position to a longterm member, many of whom would be suitable, we decided to avoid the unpleasantness that might be associated with picking one person over another and instead opt to ask an outsider who had already done the job elsewhere.
So we would like to introduce mezzio13 as our newest admin. He brings with him a wealth of experience from his time spent moderating shortscale.org. I hope you will all make him feel very welcome.

Re: New Administrator appointment.
I have absolute faith in the current mods to make the right decision about appointing a new one. I'm sure you guys have done just that. Welcome aboard Mezzio! Hopefully you hate me for making a 25.227" conversion neck for my Jaguar!

Look at all the new members we have.
How many have said they'd never post here?

Oh shit. Mezz is going to be deletin' all your soulz. Mez already deleted Shortscale like 4 times.
I prefer their older stuff.

Re: New Administrator appointment.
OK, I believe it's now well known that this was just a light-hearted prank.
At the moment we don't need another admin and we almost certainly would ask a long-term member to do it if we did. Also, we'd consult you all first .. I'm kinda disappointed none of you pulled us up for springing this on you so randomly!
Anyway, it was fun to be able to cooperate with ss.org again, over something a little less serious this time.

Well I walked right into that closed door, didn't I?
I think I've seen that other mentioned forum once so I don't know any of the politics etc - ignorance IS bliss.

Oops I didn't even see this thread when I was supposed to. In anycase, I'd like to again thank Mezcalhead, Fullerplast and everyone else for helping me pull a fast one. Mez (not me, your Mez) was right, it was nice to cooperate on something that didn't involve comparing IP's and deleting threads. Cheers.

Re: New Administrator appointment.
I PM'd Doug (Fullerplast) yesterday about it....I was very surprised, to say the least.
He spilled the beans, and told me to keep it under my hat....
