Mine's a Fender Blues Deluxe. It's a great amp, but I found out recently that they really don't like being left switched on from the start of soundcheck until the last band is finished.

That's not really that long, depending on the gig .. I can leave my VRs on for days at a time. I think they prefer that to being switched off and then on again.
The problem with these "most popular" threads is that they turn into "what amp do you use" threads .. I can tell you what I use but I'm not sure I've detected an overall trend among JM players .. the indie guys like Marshall-type amps, the surf guys like Fenders, and so on.
I'm guessing that Marshalls are overall fairly well represented, followed by blackface Fenders and Voxes.
FWIW I've been spending most of my time lately with a brownface Princeton .. other options are BF & SF Vibrolux Reverbs, a Vox AC15 (Korg RI), and a 9V-battery-powered solid state amp which I think sounds great in its own way.

I guess it's not really that long - we were the headlining band, so we soundchecked first (at 7ish) and went on around 12 - so the amp was on for about 5 1/2 hours or so, as the rest of the bands were using it too. I noticed that the channel-switching was playing up on me, and I had to use my DS-1 backup instead.mezcalhead wrote: That's not really that long, depending on the gig .. i don´t think this will bring us much closer to determining which is the most popular amp among jazzmaster players, but:
the best sounding combination i have tried is a jazzmaster into a blackface bassman with a marshall 4x12 cab (jcm 900 series)
i´m currently using a marshall MOSFET 100w (into said 4x12 cab) and a '75 twin reverb though.

I use it with a volume box in the fx loop..clean channel volume at 6, eq controls and presence crancked..I like how it sounds but since I've tryed a twin reverb I've started to think about getting one...

That's what I'm looking for the future..

Nice, I sometimes use a sort of half size version of that, a blackface bandmaster into a marshall 2x12 jcm 800 cabmynameisjonas wrote: the best sounding combination i have tried is a jazzmaster into a blackface bassman with a marshall 4x12 cab (jcm 900 series)

I loves my Deluxe Reverb II. Both channels sound great and it plays well with pedals.
Also, the Guitar Amp Pro plug-in sounds great with my Jazzmaster. Especially the "Dirty Champ in the Gym" preset.

I played one of those on a gig once into a Peavey 4x12 that sounded really good. I might start looking for one!mynameisjonas wrote: i´m currently using a marshall MOSFET 100w (into said 4x12 cab) and a '75 twin reverb though.

I love my Jazzmaster through my AC-30CC2. Also, it sounds great simultaneously through an AC-30 and Marshall 6100LM/Marshall 412.

Fender Twin Reverb or Vox AC-30

Re: Okay, how about Most popular amp among Jazzmaster Players...
they are usually really cheap, i bough mine for $150. i bought it in desperation when my main amp quit on me two days before a tour, and i was basically broke. they aren´t very versatile, but the one sound it does do well just happens to suit me. i only use the lead channel, which only has 3 knobs, tone, volume and gain. it´s like a RAT with a 100W power amp.flatfiver wrote:I played one of those on a gig once into a Peavey 4x12 that sounded really good.
