Yup - it was actually one of the 100w models (mid-70s) - the 135w ones were made from '77-'79. The handles are indeed a cruel joke, compounded by the (IMO) poor placement of the casters - they aren't placed far enough away from each other (width-wise) to really provide much stability. So when you're lucky enough to be on a flat surface, even the smallest obstacle (cable, crack in the pavement, small forest animal) that gets in your way can tip it over.mezcalhead wrote: "Had" .. you sold it? I'll miss knowing you own a six-speaker 135W living room practice amp.
The chassis is identical to a Twin Reverb, yet Super Sixes sell for a lot less than a Twin from the same era. I've seen people get a Super Six and cut the cabinet to make a 2x10" combo with a 4x10" extension cab. Have it done properly with good handles and you've got a pretty nice setup.RumorsOFsurF wrote: That thing is a monster. I love it, though. There is currently one for sale on my local craigslist. I want it, but it is sooooo impractical!![]()
